The gold standard of every barista for soaking and cleaning anything metal that touches coffee or tea but safe on plastic too. Perfect for cleaning that black mold and gross smell building up in your Stanleys, Hydro Flasks, et al. Just sprinkle some in, add boiling water, let it sit for 30 min, and rinse.

From a barista that has cleaned an espresso machine many times let me tell you this is he best. Stellar pro former. Used it to clean all my old coffee pots and aluminum cups. It's like my little cleaning secret! Buy in bulk if you can because you will love it! Boil some water and add a sprinkle and your stuff will never be cleaner

I first came in contact with this product about 20 years ago as a barista. I used it every night to backflush our espresso machine and we put a teaspoon or so in the various aero-pots to keep scale from forming in them. As my 'machine' these days is an espresso press, I can clean every part of it by hand and I never really keep coffee in batches... For this reason I haven't seen used it in quite awhile. I do have some steel coffee cups which eventually developed scale and, having failed at removing it with almost every other product, I bought some Purocaff (I've always called it "Purecaff", but that may be a southern thing) to see if i could get the scale off. 30 minutes later and gross coffee water comes out of my 'clean' cups. Really impressive stuff. I knew it was good for maintenance but i had no idea it would remove 10 years of residue so quickly. I mean i tried, boiling them, baking soda scrubs, flushes, vinegar et al... This stuff worked immediately with a bit of boiling water. It used to be cheaper.. I feel as though this one bottle will last me 20 years or so. I would say for espresso machine owners, this is a necessary grocery item.. It's a real handy thing to have around the house if you have a few coffee thermoses or metal cups which are starting to develop residue.

It works well but takes several washes to remove all the soap from the machine.
