Ankle strap is good. Heel strap should be longer to give the option to put under the arch (night splint) instead of heel and it should have velcro on both sides to give the option to wrap around the arch by itself.

This little support is very unobtrusive, works well, is lightweight and doesn't cause any sort of fatigue issues like the "compression sock" type can. Quality of construction is great (as is most everything from McDavid). Fits in most shoes I've worn (specifically running and tennis shoes), and really does help with the occasional flare up.

My husband had an older version of this McDavid product. The newer version didn't work as well as what I bought it to replace. You may have better luck. It was reasonably well made.
