love this thing! had it a while before wrighting this. think ive ran 4 bottles of gas through it. small compact and fast to boil. best camping gear ive bought to date

This saw has a severe design flaw, it has a very bad system to attempt to tension the belt. What happens is the saw works great at first, then after a few uses it doesn't work so well. When I checked the belt it was clear that it lost tension and just started grinding the gears on the belt teeth, stripping the teeth off the belt. At which point the saw has zero torque to cut anything because you now have a belt without teeth riding on toothed gears. When it worked initially I was impressed with the cutting speed and power, but apparently it's just not built to last. Why they don't include an extra belt or five is beyond me. Cheap garbage. It's such a shame too because if the designers bothered to implement a real belt tensioner (with an idler) it would be so, so much better. The size was fine for my needs, it was pretty comfortable to use and I had no problems with the quality of the cuts. A great idea of a tool ruined by a horrible belt system. It worked fine for the very small job I had to do, but it is a weak build but commensurate with price, so no real complaints. You will need to try a few times to get guide right as it is not intuitive. Motor is not very high torque, but again, commensurate with price. For a one off or very soft product perfect.

I bought this for my husband. He loves it! Perfect to cut small pieces for craft projects.

Compre este producto para realizar cortes sencillos de materiales de espesores pequeños. El sistema de esta cortadora no tiene mucha capacidad. Arriba de 8 mm no logra cortar plásticos y el disco se "amarra" y/o se detiene. Es necesario levantar el brazo de la cortadora para reiniciar el corte nuevamente. Esto es debido a que el disco esta actuado por un par de poleas tipo timing conectada por una banda, al intentar realizar cortes de mas espesor sencillamente la banda patina y el disco se detiene. OK, sabía que es una cortadora económica y por tanto no tendrá capacidad, ok, a realizar cortes en etapas lentamente. Sin embargo, al cambiar de material e intentar cambiar el disco dentado por otro de corte, es IMPOSIBLE remover el tornillo que su jeta el disco. Aun removiendo la polea que impulsa el disco y usar pinzas para sujetar la flecha de esta, es imposible remover el tornillo del disco. Si se desea remover el disco se debe de destruir este y aun así no es posible remover el tornillo. Si se compra un producto como este es necesario tener en mente que se podrán presentar multiples problemas, sencillamente es "un volado", posiblemente toque un producto no tan mal ensamblado como este y se corra con mejor suerte.

No es una herramienta versátil, es muy limitada en el tamaño de corte.
