Lego doing mecha designs has always been a dream of mine since I was a kid and with these Nexo Knights releases that dream has been solidly brought to reality. While the Black Knight is not nearly as poseable as the King's Knight set (see a lack of articulated knee joints) it makes up for it in overall size and shape. That in addition to the slightly darker, more subdued color choices make this guy a real treat to behold when stationary. Lots of fun design choices like the size of the sword and the shield launcher make him a lot of fun in play. The mini-figs included in this set are fine enough, my favorite being the recolor of Robin in his black and blue get up. This subtle change making him feel more like part of the team instead of a hanger on. The little enemy prison / base thing is filled with neat little touches and a lot of weapons if that's your jam (its my jam so it was a selling point for me)All and all, I love this set and I love what it meant for Nexo Knights at the time. Shame they didn't keep this pace up with future installments.
