OtterBox Commuter Series Case for Samsung Galaxy Note9 - Frustration Free Packaging - Black

Purchased Otterbox Commuter Case for Note 9; be advised, no screen protection film is supplied with this case... so you'll need to buy a separate screen protector film/glass at additional cost. My main complaint with this case is that it does not allow easy ejection of the S Pen; the rubber of the case partially covers the S-Pen and needs to be pushed away from the slot in order to retrieve the S-Pen.Compared to the Otterbox Defender case I had on my Note 2 - which worked great and came shipped from Otterbox with screen film included - this product's fit and quality indicates Otterbox's cases are not as high quality as those it produced 6 years ago. Too bad.Having recently purchased a Supcase Beetle case for a Samsung Tab, I'd recommend considering that brand as a reasonable - and much less expensive - alternative to Otterbox products.

I, like a previous reviewer, found this to be a little disappointing. It would have gotten 5 stars save for one problem. Access to the S-Pen is a bit of a challenge. It would seem that Otterbox did not put their usual level of quality into the cut out for this...almost as if it were an afterthought.I use my S-Pen frequently on my Galaxy Note 9 and I find it frustrating to have to struggle with it to get it out of the phone because of a poor design.I've owned many phones and many Otterbox cases over the years and I have never given Otterbox less than a 5 star review, but this one needs tweaking. Come on Otterbox, you really can do better than this!

I gave the commuter series otter box a 5 star rating.. because it wouldn't let me give it a 6 !! What a quality case. I own the galaxy 9 note. The phone is so streamline and gorgeous, and with this case it allows it to stay that way. Very thin yet durable. My phone kept its streamlined looks. Go with commuter series. Forget the big bulky style cases. We get our phones for their looks as much as we do for performance.

Sweet lord, this is one slippery case, inslapped on this bad boy on the 2nd day of owning my new note 9, and as I want to pick it up it snagged the charger cable(I know my fault but it happens), now normally, this would of been just fine and dandy with my note 8(it had a defender case)but noooo the sides and back of this darn case is more slippery than a catfish dipped in lard, oh lord, this bad boy slipped right off my hand and into the steps of my truck, bam, now I'm shit out of luck with a broken screen and a $200 deductible. Moral of the story, this is a commuter case, if you ha e rough tough manly hands just get your self the defender and leave this to the office boys!

I bought this for my husband who is forever dropping his phone. His old otterbox was much more durable but much much more expensive.
