It's tubular aluminum with no reinforcing struts so of course it will be a little woobly but when you stand it's solid.Had a TKR 8 weeks ago and of all the apparatus I bought this is the last one I'm still using. It helps me a lot.

My dad has Parkinson's and it makes it extremely difficult for him to walk/move. I ordered this to help him when he's trying to get off the toilet and help maintain his dignity. This is extremely easy to install and I have a bidet on my toilet as well. It is screwed into the toilet where the cover is installed (also where you'd install a bidet to keep it stable). I love that the feet in the front has suction cups with the option of switching it out to regular feet. Since I rent, I didn't want to install something that I'd have to drill anywhere and this checked my boxes! It's a great value, extremely functional, and feels really sturdy. While it might be less sturdy than the options that you screw into a wall, this does the trick if you're a renter.

Works well. Super easy install and only took a few minutes. Easy to to adjust for height and width, and also to take the handles off so there's nothing to the sides. Only complaint was it was not super stable and was a little shaky. Maybe not great for elderly, but great for somebody recovering from surgery or other health recovery that just needs a little help.

Simple design, unobtrusive in the bathroom. I am 70 yrs old, 195 pounds and have been using this for several months after hip surgery. Plenty roomy, not narrow and constrictive at all. The handles do a minor side to side wobble when going to stand up, but that is to be expected from the streamlined 2-legged design. It is securely attached to the toilet, so it's not going anywhere and neither will you. At no time have I ever felt it was going to collapse or break, the material it is made from is very sturdy. It feels safe and secure to me. It has been wonderfully helpful as I recover from surgery. However, this might not be the right choice for a more frail elderly person due to the wobble in the handles.

I like this product because of how well it adjusted at how big the suction cups were for the floor. It is more flimsy than I thought, but it is working for what we bought it for.

This did not work well at all on a "comfort height" toilet by Kohler. I actually wonder if it could be stable on ANY toilet in its current design. When fully assembled, it is flimsy and wobbly. The ONLY stabilizing feature is where it attaches behind/under the toilet seat. If you can't get a perfect fit (with it fully tightened), it is not going to be secure enough for anyone to safely utilize it. I believe that rear legs are essential to make this item appropriate for someone who has difficulty standing up from the seated position, particularly if that person's weight is on the higher end of the stated limit of 300 pounds.
