Corsair A500 High Performance Dual Fan CPU Cooler

I have a PC build with an 8th gen i7 that does not have space above the CPU socket for a large air cooler and a low profile unit does not provide sufficient cooling. Fortunately, the case will take the 240mm radiator of the H100x and it was a simple install process. CPU temperatures are now well under control!

Amazing Fan, works great with 11700k CPU Had some issue on Corsair C4000D case as this fan was planned for the upper part of the case which caused a problem with RAM on My asus Z590 -E made it my choice of Ram very limited to low profile RAM RGB Is great and cpu is nice and cool Fixing it took a bit but Corsair has an online video to explain it all easily, just plan ahead u start fixing.

If running a 12th gen CPU, make sure your mobo supports an older bolt on connection, as this one does not have the bracket.

My first air cooler, superb!

This cooler knocks down my average temps 10 to 15 degrees Celsius. So I can't complain, numbers are typical of a AIO. But this model is not an RGB version which is kinda disappointing to me. I got the H100x. Most people like me want the RGB. And that model is H100i PRO. All I got was a plain white LED. Be careful when you order. Because I wasn't. But the AIO works great.

Corsair knows its customer. High quality build, easy installation (made easier with pre-applied paste!), package includes a quality long Philips screwdriver needed for the install and some extra thermal paste. As you can see with other reviews, the only drawback is its size – it may not fit all cases – so buyer beware. I put this into a Corsair 4000D with no issues and with room against the tempered glass to spare. The cooler fans slide off and adjust easily should you need extra space against RAM sticks (see photos.) In theory, you could pimp this out by replacing the non-RGB fans (ML120's) with its RGB variants from Corsair. But you don't need to. Otherwise, the A500 is an amazing replacement for a stock air cooler that comes with an Intel or AMD chip, and for those who want to stay away from water cooled solutions. Easy to install and nothing to maintain other than staying on top of dust, which is easy to do since the fans slide off. Keeps idle temps on an i7-10700 below 30C. On high loads, ceiling is 68C, which is a huge improvement over the 80C I was getting with an Intel stock cooler.

I got this to replace an air cooler on my 2nd PC that’s right on my desk about 2-3 feet away from me. It’s on a i7 13700k 5.4ghz all core 4.3ghz e core. Hitting 90c under full load 260watts. I added this cooler and I instantly like the quality of the radiator. The paint looks and feels good. The sleeves on the water tubes are nice and the USB connection for the power is sleek looking and not an eyesore. I like the fans they run well but are not annoying loud. They do get loud but it’s only at 300watts full load. Now my CPU is at 5.6ghz all core 4.5ghz e core and it runs great. While gaming this has dropped my gaming temps by 10-20c depending on the load and the water pump is not loud. I’ve had about 4 AIO and this is the best quality ones I have seen. Also to note the pump seems to run cooler than my older AIO’s. So I just took out the 13700kf and put in a new 13900ks. It’s enough to cool that but only for gaming and everyday use. This can cool out 300watts. Now it can’t run this KS fully, but it’s still faster than a stick 13900k They have been making quality AIO,s for over a decade now so the tech is actually a lot more advanced than it was back in 2008-2013.
