First and foremost let me say these are some of the best nocks I’ve ever used. I’ve shot these for tons of rounds of practice and sling several in the tree stand at different animals. This arrow was shot at a block target at distance to confirm pins and shot high. The arrow grazed the top of the target and hit the woven handle causing the arrow to deviate out of the normal path. This was on November 18, 2019. The arrow entered a hay field behind the target and even with the Nockturnal, I was unable to locate the arrow. On November 24, 2019, my neighbor (whose property adjoins the hay field) contacted me and asked if I had lost an arrow. The owner of the hay field had run his mower across the field the day before my neighbor called me which allowed him to see the arrow. I went and picked up my arrow and immediately noticed the nockturnal was still glowing. The attached picture is about 8 hours after I picked up the arrow. The run time on the package states that the nocks have a 20 hour run time for the nock. At roughly 200 hours of run time, my nick is still burning. The nock was destroyed by the mower but the light is still burning. This is a testament to how tough these nocks truly are. If you’re looking for a nock that can help with tracking down your expensive hunting arrows after a pass through shot on an animal, I wouldn’t recommend any other brand on the market. They are one of the best additions I’ve added to my arrows. Installation was tight and the nocks are not an easy push in (Easton Axis 5mm 340 spine) but they hold tight enough that I don’t worry about them remaining on the string when I take a shot. Just takes time to learn how to slide them into the string without activating the switch. These things are money well spent and worth every penny in my opinion. Already ordered another set so I can have them ready when I build my next set of arrows.

High quality lighted nocks. I’ve purchased probably 5-6 packs and all have worked great. I would also recommend purchasing the nock tool to help turn them off/insert them as it works better than a knife, etc. Obviously they look awesome in flight (laser beam) and give instant feedback of where you’ve hit your target. Furthermore, if you film your hunt then it will be much easier to see your entry point with these nocks installed. In a hunting application these are in my opinion very practical and ethical because they help you find your arrow and that will help you to get on the blood trail. You also don’t want to leave a broad head tipped arrow out in the woods or on someone’s property. These make sure you can find your arrow, especially in low light conditions. I’ve broken a few of these and left the light on to see how long the light would shine for and although it was barely on these will stay lit for at least a week, I’ve seen it last up to three weeks. Again, not bright but it was on! Picture and video is from an Oklahoma whitetail, cheers and good luck!

These work perfect. Blast to shoot with in low light/dark. Super bright, easy to track flight and fit perfectly in my arrows without the need for any glue. I suggest getting the little tool too that helps turn them off when not in use. Other wise, you can tear them up trying to turn them off with a knife or pick. You’ll want to turn them off between shots too or they’ll blind you trying to draw back with them on.

I will never fire another arrow at a large game animal without one of these. They are bright enough to see easily even in daylight, they seem to last forever, and they do not alter the flight of the arrow at all. It's mildly annoying to have to jam your knife in it to turn it off, but the alternative is to buy the ones that have that stupid switch on the outside. The ones that I've seen, at least, have the switch going the wrong way, so the nock turns itself off on its way through your animal. That's... not super helpful. I've tried the cheap ones that cost 50 cents each and it's just not worth it. They'll light up when you nock the arrow, or they won't turn on, or they'll be dead when they show up in the mail, or maybe, JUST MAYBE, they will work as intended!.... but then it's so dim that you still can't see the arrow until after dusk. I'm a pretty cheap guy, so if there was a way to make those work, I was going to find it. They don't work. These Nockturnals DO. They are awesome.
