Christmas and family
4.25 starsThis was a very satisfying ending to the Calla and Jonah story, even though they had to deal with some hiccups along the way between the stress of Christmas and family combined. There was so much drama that had made them face up to family issues and resolving them. It was really them standing up to their families about what they wanted and not what the family wanted. Seeing those interactions were light heart yet had the serious tone to them, but the main thing was there was so much love. I liked seeing that. The stuff with Roy was great. It really warmed my heart as he started opening himself to possibilities. The bond he had with Calla was pretty special. It was just a really strong part of the story. The Christmas and cold vibes were done really well. I felt like I was in a Winter Wonderland in this cabin with Calla and Jonah and the family. It gave off this great romantic vibes to it yet one of family too. It was just done in a great immersive way.I liked seeing more of the Calla and Jonah relationship. I loved seeing them happy and love. There were quite a few spicy moments thrown into the mix too. It was more about the love though, which always warms my heart.

A perfect continuation of Calla and Jonah's story!
Just like the first two books in this series, I absolutely loved this story! Calla and Jonah have such a sweet, funny, adventurous life together, and I love reading about it! I could easily read more books about them, and I am excited to read the last book in this series, which focuses on Marie.I love that it’s Christmastime in this novella, and Calla and Jonah’s families have flown to Trapper’s Crossing, Alaska to celebrate. I enjoyed the author’s development of all the characters—they all felt like real people. I also loved reading about the continuing friendships and found-family relationships Calla and Jonah have with their neighbors. Muriel and Roy are my favorites! I loved that Agnes and Mabel are moving to Trapper’s Crossing too! I’m so glad Roy gets a chance at happiness in this story and love that Calla and Jonah take the next step in their relationship! The epilogue made me a little sad, because I wish Calla’s father had lived to see more of her life, but it’s wonderful to see her still having a relationship with him, even though she can’t be with him in person. And I’m sure I know what she whispered to his grave at the very end! This series is so much fun. It has just the right amount of banter and adventure, all set against a beautiful Alaskan backdrop. I highly recommend it!

A beautiful ending (for now) to one of my fave series!
I love this world so much, and was beyond thrilled when I learned that K.A. Tucker was revisiting Calla and Jonah with a Christmas novella, and it was everything I wanted! This book is definitely not a standalone, and should be read after THE SIMPLE WILD and WILD AT HEART. And beware this review will contain some spoilers for earlier books in the series.Calla and Jonah are settled in the small town of Trapper’s Crossing, Alaska, happily in love and preparing for their families to arrive for the holidays. It’s a busy time, with just as much stress as there is excitement, but it’s going to be a Christmas like no other.I freaking love these two. I loved seeing them still so loved-up and passionate for each other. They still tease and banter, they’re blissfully functional, and there’s a beautiful chemistry between them that makes them a joy to read.Characters that we have come to know and love in this series appear, and there is some drama to deal with, but it works to build the story and create a fantastic little read that I just adored. Roy’s story in particular was a real highlight (I love that grumpy old guy). It was the ending that I didn’t know I needed for Calla and Jonah, and even though I was so very satisfied with how it finished, I would have loved it to be longer because I wanted more and wasn’t ready to let go.I am so freaking excited that KA Tucker is going to continue on in this world with books for other characters, and I can’t wait for more.So much love for these characters, I loved this one! 5 stars!

Perfect ending to the trilogy
This was such a bittersweet read for me. I have loved Calla and Jonah's journey and was sad to see it end. Even if it was an end befitting of them. And while I expected how the story would go in the early pages I'm not even mad about it. It was so nice to get to meet Jonah's parents and get to see a bit more of who made him who he is. And I will forever love everyone's favorite curmudgeon Roy, who showed us a little more of his softer side in this book. I really hope he gets a bit of a side book of his own, like Marie is slated to.This series will forever hold a place in my heart. It is a perfect romance that makes you fall in love with the Alaskan wild and with the characters that are so brilliantly written. I honestly can't say enough good things about this whole trilogy and feel I can't write it justice. Everyone needs to add these to their to read list if they haven't all ready.
