Jarrow Formulas Prebiotics Xos Plus Gos, 90 Chewable Tablets

The new bottles arrived with tamper-proof seals intact, but were all filled with small hard substitute tablets that had no flavor and were tooth-crackingly unchewable. The contents looked completely unlike the pictured product shown on the same bottle. The tablet composition information didn't indicate anything had changed. My photo shows a comparison of one of the tablets I had left from a prior order (left), and a new tablet (right). I have used this excellent probiotic for a couple of years, and am disappointed not to be able to find the real product. The one star is in memory of what used to be good. I'll credit Amazon with being prompt and efficient in processing a refund for the return. I am left wondering what's going on at Jarrow?

Jarrow changed the appearance of these tablets in early 2020. The tablets used to look exactly like Tums - same diameter, flat and coin-like. Now the tablets are smaller but fatter, but the packaging size remains the same, making the jar appear half full. Product still delivers faster results than any other prebiotic on the market. The powdered form is just as effective but is a huge hassle and doesn't taste very pleasant - these are portable if you travel and can be chewed down to a pleasant tasting paste within a minute.

Got it in a couplre of days....only thing I can say rite now is I like the carmel flavor but NO WAY could I chew one tablet..I smashed them quite easily tho and swollowed them ! Hope these work....

Good gut-bug food! Feeding those good bugs is a regular job. I like giving them a diverse variety of food, like XOS, GOS, and others. It surely isn't a product that one feels working. It seems to be more of a maintenance issue, unless one has a perfect plant diet with a wide variety for fibrous foods. Finding the right product and then finding it in a bulk version for a good price is the tricky part.
