Lessons: "Just like Malory Towers for grown ups"

So glad book #3 has finally arrived.

On peut laisser le livre un soir et le reprendre une semaine plus tard sans perdre le fil. Donc c'est vraiment facile à lire et distrayant.

I've really enjoyed Jenny Colgan's books, but this one was hard to get through. The situation that's set up at the beginning isn't believable. It might have been, if this were a "boarding school story" set in an earlier time, but it just seems absurd in a contemporary story. I ordered it by mistake, thinking that it was the first in the series, but I won't be going back to read the first two.

I came across class and rules recently by a matter of chance and loved them, so was really happy to find that Lessons was available and feel quite lucky to have not had to wait 10 years as some people have.I thought the conscious change to include up to date references was fun and I didn’t really get caught up in some of the slight changes to the character as some people have. The point is the story was fun and gripping and absolutely achieves what it sets out to achieve which is a Mallory Towers for adults 😀.I can’t wait to introduce my mum to these books as she introduced me to Mallory Towers in my childhood.Now come on Jenny, please let’s not wait another 10 years for the next one!
