La cabeza cumple perfectamente su función, la zapata es conveniente para poner lo que sea en una cámara, y los tornillos embonan perfecto en cualquier tripié de 3/8, la perilla de ajuste tiene un resorte para atornillarla con mayor facilidad por si queda en un espacio reducido, carga perfectamente hasta medio kilo sin problema, y tal vez hasta 1kg si se aprieta bien, pero se queda quieto y sin moverse, el cuerpo es de metal completamente y se ve bastante resistente. El único "pero" que le podría poner es que la cabeza, una vez atornillada queda fija, y la perilla de ajuste ya no se puede girar para ningún otro lugar, esto puede no ser un problema pero lo escribo ya que se trata de comparar todos sus aspectos.

This mini ball head with lock and hot shoe adapter works very well. I had no problems using and setting it up. I purchased it to mount a 4K 'gopro' style camera on top of my DSLR so I can shoot video on my 12.1MP camera while at the Toronto Honda Indy race. I just finished reviewing the video on my pc and it came out absolutely better than expected. The mount allowed me to aim the 4K camera at the subject so I can take high speed pictures at the same time. Great accessory.

It works. That's the best I can say about it. Spend an extra $5-10 dollars and get something bigger and better, or get a small rig one for about the same price (however, the small-rig one didn't work for what I wanted)First off, the hot shoe mount was bent beyond usability. No big deal for me since I didn't need that part anyway. But it's not easy to bend so I don't think it was damaged in transit.Second, this is one gritty ball head. Feels like grinding teeth moving it around. It's entirely aluminium (which surpises me that its so 'heavy'), aside from the grub screw that locks it down. This is a problem. It bites into the aluminium to stop moving, this is damaging the aluminium spindal that locks the ball head and I suspect will be a common point of failure after a short amount of use, if not will a source of steady decline in its ability to support anything more than an action camera.If you can get away with it, small rig instead (can't fault it aside from that it wouldn't fit my mini tripod for my action camera). This has been replaced with an AFVO head ordered not a half hour after receiving this one.

I purchased this mini ball head to add to my early edition Gorilla Pod that only had a 1/4X20 thread on it. It works perfectly well as a ball head and is plenty strong for a GoPro or Speed Light. I had to modify my Gorilla Pod slightly with a thicker rubber washer to allow me to tighten the thumb screw on the ball head though as I did not need the cold shoe mount and the thumb screw rotation is below the base of the main unit.All in all though this is a well made solid product that locks tightly and maintains the angle of the whatever you mount to it within its specified weight parameters.

Love being able to add action cam to my DSLR. I can now record video and sound while taking photos of birds. Makes my action cam more useful. The ball head feels sturdy but the head doesn’t move as smooth as I thought it would but for the price it is a great addition to my camera gear.
