Great teaching/learning set! Not a toy. it cannot withstand being handled carelessly.
I think they are slightly fragile. They are not toys, and cannot withstand that type of use, for sure. But! As a learning/teaching aid, these things are super cool! They are see through and have an opening, with plug, to fill each shape with water, and demonstrate the concept of volume! I liked them as an introduction into shapes, and when I got them, I saw that they were to teach all about volume too! By far, one of the coolest little sets to have in your classroom/homeschool. They could stand to be a little more sturdy, and durable. I'm afraid to drop them. Also, should come with a graduated cylinder, for filing the shapes, and precise measuring. Needed em for science anyway, so I had to grab a pack of those.

Great product--fragile, but why wouldn't they be?
These are great. I've read people reviewing saying that theirs were falling apart out of the box and all I can think is they got a defective product. I bought two boxes and all of the shapes are fine. Most of the shapes have three pieces: the small, removable piece covering a hole (for filling) and then the removable side piece (for easier filling and cleaning) and finally the rest of the shape. They are all solid, but you are not paying for shatter resistant pieces of acrylic. This item would cost much more if you were. They are simply shapes made of thin, but not too thin Plexiglas.Obviously, if they are in cold conditions for a while the plastic will deteriorate in strength and may crumple, but otherwise these are sturdy enough.

A Great Resource For The Classroom
Love the product, it’s a great resource to use when teaching my daughters about observing and recalling details of geometric shapes.Negative: The shapes themselves do seem rather fragile, and the plastic can break over the course when being handled by small, forceful, inquisitive hands.

Shapes are asymetrical and measurements aren't precise
I'm an artist and bought these to practice drawing 3D shapes in different orientations. They are ideal for that purpose. I love the colors and that I can see through them. The plastic seems durable and they are stable on flat surfaces.I recognize these are for kids but if I cared more about precision, I would send them back. A handful of the shapes such as the large cube, pentagonal prism, and triangular prism taper slightly by a few millimeters from end to end. The cube is just barely noticeable, but I noticed the prism's tapering when I removed it from the box and I had to measure to be sure. This is more of a visual problem when you stack certain shapes, because one end will be flush with another shape, while the other end will not be, such that the edges stick out. Additionally, the stated measurements are rounded up because several of the shapes are slightly smaller than they are supposed to be. Other shapes are just fine.I got them for a deal so I don't mind these flaws. My use doesn't require precision and they are light and colorful, so I'm keeping them. If you care more than I do, be aware that the manufacturing is inconsistent.

Great for teaching volume
I'm a science teacher, and I got this kit so I could use it when teaching my students about mass, volume, and density. These 3D shapes have circular sections of one face that can be removed. That's not a design flaw. These are designed to be filled with water, sand, etc. to demonstrate volume.

Tactile learning
My children loves this resource. Makes learning 3D shapes easier with this concrete sample. Be careful though, this is delicate, can crack easily when it accidentally falls to the floor.

Cool Concept
These plastic shapes are colorfully inviting. Many different shapes and sizes. The bottoms come off, as do the small round flat stoppers that facilitate pouring substance into the shape, thru a small funnel. Looks like fun.

Broken
One piece came in broken I had to glue it back together
