I've been using for a couple years now, love this stuff. It definitely adds a layer to the products on my face and I can feel it, but my skin tends toward dry so I don't mind it. Doesn't make me break out, smells fine, good ingredients. I really hope they don't ever stop making it.

I bought 4 different mineral based sunblock products for face, all cruelty free and natural ingredients. This one smells the best, but is the thickest to apply. It takes a while to rub it in so you aren't completely white and even once rubbed in you'll still have a white-ish complexion. I'm going to continue using it for days at the beach or pool, but prob not for most days. It was a good price and I want to like it more. Really I want to give only 3.5 stars but I'm rounding up because this product is better for you and the environment than the chemical sunscreens that are tested on animals.The others I tried: The burts bees renewal firming lotion is easier to rub in and smells reasonable; i use this one the most. Badger tinted is even easier to rub in but the smell isn't as nice and its a bit more pricey; I do like that it is made locally to me. And Supergoop is really pricey, not great smell, but does cover & conceal nicely (even more if 2 layers).

I have a lot of sun damage on my face, so my dermatologist recommends that I use an spf 30 sunscreen on my face daily. I also strongly believe in using natural products and avoid anything with synthetic chemicals, oxybenzone, octinoxate, etc. So...finding a natural spf 30 moisturizer is not an easy task! I tried one brand that smelled weird and didn't blend in easily before discovering this one. After the experience with my last brand, I had low expectations for this product. Let me just say that this far exceeded my expectations!!! The product smells great (citrus-y), it blends in easily, and while it leaves a very, very slight almost white hue to your skin, which is typical for zinc-based sunscreens, it blends in almost completely. I just apply a tinted moisturizer over the top to give my skin a little more natural color, but that isn't really necessary...it's just something that works for me! And so far, it seems to work, too. I've spent quite a bit of time in the sun this summer, and with this product on, I haven't had any issues with burning or further sun damage. In fact, I think my sun spots have lightened a bit (not sure if that is from this product, but it could be as I haven't done much different). You do have to re-apply for it to work, though. You can't just put it on in the morning and expect it to last all day. I'll be a loyal customer of this product!!

I don’t know what I will do if this ever gets discontinued. It is, without question, THE best moisturizing sunscreen I have ever used. It gives me a healthy-looking glow while (somehow, not sure how it works?) disguising red spots, dark circles, etc. It is super moisturizing, light, doesn’t cause issues for my acne-prone skin, has a light/natural scent and blends in perfectly. I just look SO much better when I have it on and my skin feels so much better. I haven’t found any other products that could compare to this.

I have had to mix this product with a thinner moisturizer just so I could actually spread it on my face. It still leaves a very visible white cast on my very pale skin that only goes away with a lot of rubbing. It's far worse if you're applying this product alone instead of mixed. I will not be purchasing again.

Unlike the Andalou BB sunscreen, which now seems to be discontinued, this product contains "parfum", artificial fragrance. I thought I had checked the tiny-print ingredients carefully before buying, but this product lists "parfum" in the middle of the long list; not at the end of the list, where I usually find it. My family members with eczema and I cannot use this, having learned from experience that artificial fragrance is an instant trigger for an eczema flare. Too bad Andalou added the unneeded fragrance to their product.

Since watching the documentary The Human Experiment, I have been trying to buy natural products that contain fewer chemicals with known toxic effects. I have been using sunscreen daily since college and was horrified to learn that the sunscreen I was previously using before buying this one contained oxybenzone--a chemical known to disrupt hormones and already banned in Europe. My previous sunscreen was highly rated on Paula's Choice, a website that reviews beauty products. To my chagrin, many sunscreens highly rated as effective on Paula's choice contained toxic ingredients when referenced against the Environmental Working Group website. This combined with my highly sensitive, cystic acne prone skin made finding a new sunscreen difficult. I finally chose to try the Andalou Naturals BB sunscreen because it is oil free and uses natural ingredients. I have been using it for the past several weeks and am overall pleased. It has not caused my skin to breakout more than usual. The consistently is much thicker than my previous sunscreen; it takes time to rub in and absorb into the skin. I find that I have been using less to cover more skin as compared to my old sunscreen. If not rubbed in thoroughly, it can leave a whitish cast to the skin. Overall I am pleased with this sunscreen and intend to reorder when it is finished.
