NFL New Orleans Saints: Road to Super Bowl XLIV (Post-Season Collector's Edition)

It is great.

For those Saints fans who wanted a nice DVD of the entire game of the Saints' Superbowl victory, this is it. It does have every play of the Superbowl game along with the three preceding games that led up to it. They are not highlight cuts of the games. I had to work during SB 44 and I later wanted to sit and watch the entire game, not a highlight reel. The only drawback to this dvd (hence the missing 5th star)is the editing job on the games. The first quarter of the SB 44 game went by extremely fast because the editors cut almost everything from when the ball was down on each play to the next snap of the ball. The other quarters are also edited, but just not quite as short between plays. Why they could not just put the entire broadcast with between play commentary and the players lining up is a question for the wise man on the hill along with the meaning of life. I felt like I was being rushed through the game, and found it a little less pleasurable to soak up our beloved Saints' victory. Any football fan, I believe, will find the between play editing a little disconcerting, and that it throws the flow of the game off. When the game is won don't expect much either because the dvd ends abruptly about a minute or so later. No interviews or trophy presentation. It would not have killed the NFL or warner video to include the entire game broadcast and after-game footage. This good dvd set would have been great except for the editing.

My dad likes to get drunk and cry about how he never thought his whole life that the Saints would win the Superbowl and how Drew Brees is the greatest man on the planet. Needless to say this was a great birthday present for him. He got drunk 2 weeks after his birthday crying about how this is the greatest game in Superbowl history!! Whats more he can even watch the playoff games leading up to the superbowl as well. Great gift for die hard Saints fans out there.

Great DVD - I just wish it showed 100% of what I saw on tv. It kinda cuts out some of the down time before and after commercial breaks. I wanted it to be exactly what I saw the first time around (minus the commercials) to get the full experience of rewatching what it was like when my team finally won the Superbowl, and it was missing a few things - but not the important things!

I was living in North Carolina when the Saints went to the Superbowl, so I missed at least half the season games of 2009!! BUT, thanks to this set, I was able to at least see their post-season victories in ALL their glory as the Saints went marching right on in to the SUPERBOWL!!!! It only took 43 years, but hey, they made it!!! I just wish the DVD would've had the hoopla and celebration afterwards! But this is a MUST for any Who Dat Fan!Great job!!!

Geaux Saints!!

For some reason the games are condensed. I find this pointless because it's not like it's on tv and they have to fit a certain time window. There also is no pre/half/post game coverage included. And they cut out the network music that plays going into a commercial for reasons I don't understand. Other than that this is a good set. I wish the NFL would release the original network broadcast of games more often.

I was interested to see what these NFL complete games discs look on blu ray. I was impressed. Nothing like watching Farve. If he had won that game and the Superbowl I wonder if they would even have brought up Bounty Gate at all. You can relive all the bone crunching moments and hard sideline hits that just light up this disc. I think football is a different game now and you will never see anything like this again.

in questo blu-ray ci sono 4 gare intere, senza interruzioni pubblicitarie, tutte di ottima qualità video/audio. la gara di regilar season a washington + le 3 gare dei playoff che hanno portato al successo del superbowl, per la prima volta, i "santi" di new orleans. per chi ama il football americano, un'ottimo acquisto.!

Perfectly good and extensive re-run of the games leading to the New Orleans Saints SuperBowl-winning year. Would be a lot bwetter if the plays had not been so clipped in editing. Some interviews at the end would have been much appreciated.

ニュースに比べると、聞きとりが難しいといわれているスポーツ中継、これは米国のテレビ放送をＤＶＤにしたものですが、なんと英語字幕がついており感激でした。欲をいえば、最後にインタビューがあればもっと良かったのですが。英語学習者のみなさま、ＮＦＬがわかると、米語がもっと楽しめます。ＭＬＢでも、いえることですが、ニュース、映画、海外ドラマに、用語、チーム名など登場しますので。ブルーレイ版も取り扱っていただければ幸いです。ただ、画像はＤＶＤですが、すごくきれいです。
