Super Bright & Super Support
I use flashlights every single day for security reasons and have been using them for years. I have amassed a collection of flashlights for work in security and law enforcement since the early 1990's and have paid well over $100.00 dollars for a single flashlight while demanding a reliable light that is bright, rechargeable, durable and functional. I received my BlueFire in November and was absolutely impressed with how bright the beam is and how far that brightness extends. The beam focuses from a a tiny (6" x 6") square at three feet to maybe 30' x 30' at 200 yards and that is without adjusting the beam. I don't need a flashlight to illuminate beyond 200 feet for how I use it it, much less 200 yards, longer distances (or shorter) can easily be met by using a spot light. But this flashlight is comparable in size to my professional and expensive tactical flashlight for a fraction of the cost, and its way way brighter! I'm impressed! This is the brightest hand-sized flashlight I have ever owned. This flashlight allows you to use 3 "AAA" batteries or you can instead use rechargeable lithium 3600mAh batteries. I purchased the Outlite 18650 rechargeable batteries also from Amazon to feed my light which seems like a really good choice thus far. Unfortunately within only a few weeks, with frequent and repeated use the front lens came loose and unseated itself. I was disappointed and resorted to using a backup flashlight until I decided what I would do with the now ineffective flashlight. The BlueFire Tech Support reached out to me so I responded back to them and let them know about my issue. All I asked for was a solution to the problem. What truly blows me away is that they responded within only minutes to my email, minutes from sending it they had replied to my request, WOW! These guys care about their reputation and in turn, their customers. After another email exchange they sent a replacement flashlight a day later. That was over a week ago that I received the replacement and I am happily satisfied with the response they provided me. So much so, I ordered two more flashlights and I am putting them through their paces to find out if these lights will stand the test of time. I hope these flashlights will last a minimum of a year and I'll be totally pleased. I don't test with scientific methods like water proof, drop tests or lumen test to see how bright they actually are. I only use the flashlights throughout the course of my day and they perform well. I give BlueFire Tech Support five stars for customer service as well as five stars for a highly useful, inexpensive, bright flashlight. I think 2 things could improve the flashlight further: 1) adjusting the beam could be made to be a smoother process, and 2) If the flashlight had no smooth surfaces it would be less slippery in a sweating hand. I'm not saying these are flaws, just that these improvements would increase the value of the flashlight for me. (and probably increase the cost in the process) Again, to sum it up this is a good flashlight at a good price and now I'm a fan of BlueFire.

Super bright, clear winner!
I ordered 4 different small LED torch flashlights to run a comparison test. This BlueFire 1,200 Lumen XML-L2 flashlight was the winner! Let me start off by saying if you've only ever had mag lights or flashlights you can buy at the local hardware store, these will blow you out of the water. So any of these 4 will have impressive light output over a standard flashlight. However, I did want to rate & rank these 4 compared to each other if anyone was debating between them. I do NOT receive discounts for free products for my reviews; the goal is to provide consumers with additional comparison opinions and information that was not available to me when I was shopping for these flashlights. All four torches in the test will take three AAA batteries and some can take other rechargeable batteries as well. And they all look remarkably similar like they were all manufactured in the same plant. All 4 are super lightweight. The four flashlights I purchased were the CrazyFire 600 XML-T6 with the green push button, the CrazyFire E17 XML-T6 with the orange push button, the Refun 600 XML-T6, and the BlueFire 1200 XML-L2. I am rating them from 1-4, #1 being the brightest and #4 being the least bright. 1. BlueFire 1200 XML-L2. 1,200 lumens. 5 switch modes: high / medium / low / strobe / SOS. This was the brightest of the four torches tested. Natural color light. You would think that 1,200 lumens would be double the brightness of 600 lumens but I don't observe that is the case. Definitely brighter than the 600 lumens but not a very distinguishable difference between this one and the #2 ranked CrazyFire 1,000 lumens. 2. CrazyFire E17 XML-T6. 1,000 lumens. Orange push button. 5 switch modes: high / medium / low / strobe / SOS. Bluish tinge to the light color. Almost as bright as the BlueFire 1,200 lumens. 3. Refun 600 XML-T6. 600 lumens. Zoom with 5 switch modes: high / medium / low / strobe / SOS. Natural color light. Tied with #4 for brightness. 4. CrazyFire 600 XM-L T6. 1,000 lumens. Zoom with 5 switch modes: high / medium / low / strobe / SOS. Green push button. Purchased 8 months ago but put in fresh batteries for the comparison test. It doesn't put out what appears to be 1,000 lumens; it is on par with the 600 lumens Refun torch. Bluish tinge to the light color.

Bright light, nice focus, best with 18650 battery
Lens evenly distributes light at all zoom levels. At max zoom, the light is focused into a square with small dots inside which doesn't bother me at all. Not as bright as the Anker LC90, but also more affordable. It is less bright than the LC90 (touted at 900 lumens). After purchasing this 3 months ago, I was unhappy about the AAA battery holder making disconnections while jogging (and changing the beam mode), but recently I've had access to the 18650 battery which fits into the flashlight tighter and no longer changes modes while jogging. The light is also brighter coming out of the flashight with this type of battery - definitely recommended and increases brightness to boot. Using an amp-meter, I've compared the power draw with both battery types: 18650 battery (Anker's 3000mAh) at 3.86v High: 1.23A Med: 0.51A Low: 0.29A 3xAAA Eneloop NiMH included case at 3.86v High: 0.81A Med: 0.42A Low: 0.22A We can see there is a much higher power draw with the 18650 battery and that translates into much higher light output. Pros + Affordable + Nice light spread + Flexible power output Cons + Less bright than expected, but still leaves incandecent Maglights in the gloom

A fun, cheap flashlight with an unusual beam pattern!
I have several expensive LED flashlights that use the wonderful 18650 batteries and I was curious to see what this cheap one would be like. As expected, the construction quality is not that great, but it works well enough and the beam pattern is very unusual. I would compare it to a movie or slide projector beam. The pattern is very wide, perfectly round and the illumination is perfectly distributed throughout. This would be great for illuminating a work area or playing shadow puppet games. :) I think I will keep in in my vehicle for working under the hood or changing a tire at night. It would be perfect for that. Update, June 2, 2019: I bought two more of these silly lights. I use them for working on stuff, like under the kitchen sink, where the very wide projector beam is quite handy. I'm a flashlight enthusiast, so I have a big collection of lights that cost $50 and up. The low quality of these BlueFire lights makes me laugh. For one thing, they claim to have adjustable focus, but they don't. You can turn the front of the reflector housing till it comes off and the beam pattern doesn't change. Another funny thing is that the battery contacts are reversed. Normally, the springy one is negative and the simple protruding nub is positive, but not with Bluefire! You have been warned! LOL

Great Emergency light.
Just received this light. It comes with the option to use three AAA batteries or use a 18650 battery. I added the 18650 2500 mAh 3.7 rechargedable battery feature which is a sleeve to hold the battery. While I don’t have the ability to measure actual brightness or the lux output, I can say this is the brightest handheld small light I’ve operated. I would not want to view it from a close distance as it will surely be blinding, which for security defenses is good. I like the slightly larger size than other smaller led flashlight I have. I has a nice feel, seems well made. I also like the neon green on off button. The light field of view is adjustable by sliding in or out. Sliding it out, I liked the nice size of the front frame, it illuminates my backyard clearly. This same mode when lights up a 20x20 room nicely also. When zoomed to its tightest focus beam, it as expected is very bright. I wasn’t able to test how far it would illuminate something as there’s too much light in my area, but I’m confident it will be more than I’ll ever need. There is rubber neon o-rings sealing the battery compartment but not one on the front led lenses cap. I’ll be adding a little vaseline to both to keep to moisture out.

Yes, it's a bright light, not what it claims though
This is a reliable and extremely bright flashlight. If that's what you're looking for it'll get the job done. The reason for the 1 star rating is because this is another example of a repackaged deal, many I see in "Today's Deals," of a product not what it claims. This may seem moot since it's still a bright light but it's exploitive. I own several exactly similar flashlights -- same body, appearance, battery inputs, features, etc -- yet all my previous flashlights only claim 600 lumens. I saw this as a deal, $10 after the lightning deal, the same price as all my previous 600 L lights. I figured since this is rated at double the Lumens (1200) it must be brighter. To my dismay, there was no decreeable different with my 600 Lumen Refun, zoomed in or out. Tested with same brand, fully charged 18650 batteries. I also have a ThruNite TN12 light that's half the size and has a max output of 1050 Lumens. It's obviously pricier but almost twice as bright with same batteries. Products like this dilute the credibility of Lightning Deals and all others listed on Amazon. ----------- 6/12/17 update. The company has reached out about my concerned review, which I really appreciated. Because the flashlight itself is quality, I upped my review rating.

BlueFire is here, a heavy contender, new kid on the block
Beautifully crafted instrument from a new quality geared company. Powerful and adjustable beam, thanks to its newer and better led circuit. Perfect size, not too big, not too small. About 6 inches in length, made of aircraft quality aluminum. It can also be used as a self defense weapon. I am an LED flashlight collector and could easily compare it to my other ones. In order to intensify the beam, you pull and extend it. The only difference I could notice compared to my fancier and a lot more expensive Nitecore is if you pull it all the way at its highest intensity, you get the square led pattern in the reflection. To resolve it, you retract it just a fraction and then you will have a nice and intensely perfect round pattern. Be advised, the Chinese manufacturing has come a long way and are no longer producing the bad quality they once did. There are a myriad of lesser quality brands that make matters very confusing. This model comes without a battery or charger and that was fine with me...No, it does not come with a kitchen sink ' People still try to ridicule Chinese products because there are many haters and envious among us in North America. All these types of flashlights eventually need a specific type of cleaning and adjustments. If yours ever starts acting erratically you can learn how to get them working again properly by watching tutorials at YouTube videos. I hope my review comes across as fair and honest and I did NOT received nothing free in exchange.

GOOD window/windshield breaker! NOT capable of remembering the last mode of operation used.
Pros * It's probably a good window/windshield breaker if needed. Cons * $12.99 is a lot to pay for a window/windshield breaker. * Who wants a flashlight that CANNOT remember the last mode of operation used, especially since it would probably be the most frequent mode of use? This flashlight FORCES you to cycle through all five modes to get back to the one you last used when you turned it off. Why isn't THAT noted in the product features listed or described? Probably because people wouldn't buy this flashlight. * The head of the flashlight STILL rotates (like the zoom function common on many other brands), but it serves ZERO purpose. It really gives you less stable control over the actual zoom function on this flashlight, which is sliding the head away from the body to zoom in and back towards the body to zoom out. * The same button to turn on/off the flashlight also controls the five modes of operation. The "Only need to gently touch the tail button to change modes" statement is true, but the button is very sensitive. If you depress it even a little too hard just once, you must then try to carefully cycle through all modes to reach the desired mode again. * You MUST separately purchase the 18650 3.7v lithium battery to (hopefully) get the 1200 lumens (visible light) advertised. The approximate brightness you'll achieve with 3 AAA batteries (you must also separately purchase) is 550 lumens. I'll be going through the hassle of returning this one. I hope you don't have to do the same.
