My go too !... when I can't be asked to peel and mash.Undistinguishable from having spent hours peeling, boiling and mashing ! why bother when there's this...I had a knob of butter ! Perfect !.😂

For a cheaper alternative to the brand, Smash.... It's good

The media could not be loaded. The is a pretty standard instant mash with a slightly synthetic taste. It tastes passable but some other own-brand instant mash taste better. Home made mash is preferable but instant mash is great for when you're tired and don't have much energy – or if you've run out of potatoes.We usually find the instructions for instant mash give too thin a final texture for our tastes . The instructions on this pack say to add 350ml boiling water plus optional butter. We found that adding 300ml boiling water plus additional butter gave the right consistency/texture for us. Adding black pepper also improves the flavour IMHO, my boyfriend however, thinks mustard is better.
