Worked after a couple of tries
I bought this and its key with the Toyota Logo on it.Though it says needs to be programmed by Dealer, I gave it a try and it worked.Got the key, got it cut @ ACE Hardware for $4 and follow the instructions below:Steps:Prereq: Inside the car keep all doors unlocked but closed [I missed this couple of times and it didn work]Insert your original master key to key cylinder 5 times and leave it there ('in' and 'out' four times, just 'in' the fifth time).Open and close driver side door 6 times. Should be closed when you do the next step.Remove master key from key cylinder, insert your new cut transponder key.Turn that new key to "ON" position.Look at that red engine immobilizer light (the red light to the left of the speedometer which is car shaped with a black key in the middle of it). It is blinking.. wait about 1 min and it will turn off by itself. After engine immobilizer light turns off, remove new key and insert original master key. Start engine.

Perfect OEM Match
Exact key as dealer, just blank. I used this for a 2010 Toyota Sequoia Limited. After some research I discovered that my vehicle could have been one of two part numbers. I almost went with the other more common key, however after a call to the dealership to get the right part number, this was the one I needed. As expected, it worked great. I got it programmed and cut on my own, which saved me a lot of money that the dealership would have charged.

but the key itself works fine - so far
it arrived when it was supposed to. I took it to a locksmith and they cut it with no problem. I should have paid more attention because the locksmith walked outside with my "new key". when he returned he handed me a bill for $25. apparently he took it upon himself to also program the key to the car.not too perturbed, it was still less than the $250 Toyota wanted, but all I wanted him to do was cut the key - lol.but the key itself works fine - so far.

Perfect replacement for my 2004 4Runner. Programmed on first try!
This key works perfectly as a replacement for my 2004 4Runner! I programmed it by following the seemingly silly steps that I found in one of the reviews, and it immediately worked! It's so nice to know that I don't have to go spend hundreds at the dealership to get another chipped key replacement! I'll probably buy one more so that I have an extra at home!

It works
I got a local locksmith to cut the key (for $3) then programmed it myself with instructions found online. The key does not operate smoothly but the locksmith blamed that on my worn original key (10 years). It took numerous tries before the programming worked and I almost gave up but then it did, so now I'm all set. The key looks exactly like my original.

This key "should" have cost around $175 from the dealership ...
This key "should" have cost around $175 from the dealership...but since I had a little time on my side I bought this one AND programmed it with the help of a YouTube video...I was shocked but it totally worked! Perfectly! I saved about $150 (paid a local guy $5 to cut the key)! WooHoo!
