For $37 these are a decent deal and with the heel inserts they are acceptable, Clarks has lowered there quality design standards
The Clarks shoes being put out these days are in no way up to the former standards of quality.I've been wearing Clarks for 30-some years, and the quality has gone down as far as a natural fit and design qulity. They make all their shoes in china now, so there's that degradation as well. If these didn't have the name Clarks on them I would never have guessed they were Clarks. Tsk tsk tsk! Very disappointing. Not much arch support, but not so bad that I need an arch insert. The main problem is, on these the top of the back of the shoe, that wraps around my heel is very flimsy, as you can see the cutouts in the back, so the shoe is constantly slipping off when I walk. I purchase these and they help a bit, I recommend them! Pedag Stop Padded Leather Heel Grips, Gray [6 Pair ]I'm keeping these because they look acceptable for work wear. Local shoe and department stores have NOTHING appropriate for work, maybe it's the time of year, but no, I'm not wearing sandles or "ballet flats" to work. I guess for $37 these are a decent deal and with the inserts are acceptable.BE SURE AND ONLY BUY WITH PRIME!! Buying shoes on the www is risky, and if they don't fit right, you need to return them without added expense. Trust me on this! (Return by USPS is $8.60 as of June 2016) BE SURE AND ONLY BUY WITH PRIME!!

A Delight to wear, while giving absolute Stability!
When I first wore these, mostly around the house and my yard, I felt "springy" and pretty in these shoes; I thought, "What a delight!" Then my surgery date arrived, for a procedure just above my right ankle. Because of its location, there was great concern about it tearing open. Elevated legs and ice-packs were my main activities for many days! I became sad & restless, constantly being careful and dealing with pain. I walked like a clown, if at all. But I healed wonderfully, "one of the best ever seen", according to my surgeon. The first real shoes I put on were my Evianna Figs. I felt safe and very happy. I truly think those first few delicate hours after recovery, went so much better for me because I had the Evianna Fig Slip-ons on my feet --a great shoe! I've been wearing them ever since!

Unwearable due to odd fit and way heel would not stay secure.
I was so looking forward to these shoes but had to return them for an abysmally bad fit.The size and width and arch seemed perfect, the height of the sole as well, but two things were a major issue.1. The back of the shoe allowed my heel to slip out with each step. Was the back too low, or not curved enough I couldn't tell. I was tempted to put those heel catchers in to compensate. Thankfully I did not as it would have rendered the shoes un-returnable.2. There is something in the fit of these shoes that in order to walk, I had to splay my feet out like a duck. No clue why. I have ran into that two other times in Clark's shoes and each time either gave the shoes away or sold them, as I wore them outside before thinking it was some momentary oddity. Mind you, I have dozens more Clark shoes, that I have worn for years with no issue. No clue what it is, but when it happens, I can't wear them. This was one of those pairs. The only reason these got 2 stars instead of one, is they looked okay and that is it.

They are very nice looking for casual
They are very nice looking for casual, office. They are a little bit big for a (9m). There is a small space behind my heal. Haven't warn them yet, to see if they slip off my heal. The top edge of the shoe is very rigid. I will have to do something to soften it, or I will get blisters. I love all my other Clarks except the white Clark sandals has the same rigid edge on the top of the foot. These seem to be made by a different company.

These are beautiful shoes that make my big
These are beautiful shoes that make my big, wide feet look neat and more narrow than usual. I have a high instep that is often cut by shoe uppers that come up too high. Because of the elastic insets, that is not a problem with these shoes. The backs are a little loose and my heels slips out some, but not so much that it's a problem. It feels a little like wearing clogs. Arch support is moderate. Not enough to give a lot of support, but not flat either.

If you order the size you wear, they're too big. Order 1/2 size small, and your toes hit the front of the shoes. The toebox is a bit more roomy than I would like, and there's a teensy bit of room between the front of your toes and the front of the shoe- that's it. If you go a 1/2 size up, you'll be putting a lot of padding on the heel to keep them on! But... I do like these... my sister has a pair and she adores them.

Yay For Clark's Size 5 1/2 Shoes!
Clark"s Evianna Fig Coral shoes are so comfortable. I wear a 5 1/2 Medium. There is a little more space in the shoes that could lead to some slipping, but thin socks or no show hose take care of it. It is so difficult to find shoes in a 5 1/2, so I own many pairs of Clark's. (This is the only design that seemed to have a little extra room in the front of the shoes). The coral color can be worn with many different spring and summer clothes. I wish shoe companies would realize that many short people have short feet, and add size 5 1/2 shoes for us! Thanks to Amazon for carrying Clark's!

Very satisfied
I purchased these shoes a month ago and have been wearing them regularly. I bought my usual size (8 1/2 W) and they fit fine. I saw the other reviewers' complaints about heel slippage, but I only had that problem for the first couple of hours, until the sole limbered up. Now the heels do not slip at all.I usually wear these shoes without socks. The interior is fairly smooth, but not quite as smooth as some other Clarks I own, and I would wear socks if I planned to walk a lot in them. The heel is a good height, and the shoes are attractive. I am very satisfied, especially considering how inexpensive they were.
