PR200 Cell Phone Call Recording Device, Bluetooth Enabled, iPhone and Android Mobile Recorder

In the business I'm in, I do a lot of recorded statements (always done with the permission of the person being recorded). In fact, over the last 20 years, I have done thousands of recorded statements. Doing recorded statements over the phone used to require a landline or VOIP phone that one would attach a a device to the phone handset and the voice recorder. That said (or written), I, and colleagues in the same business, have been looking for a way to be able to obtain recorded statements over a cell phone since pretty much all cell phones do not allow the phone to record a call. The reason for the search is because a lot of the people we are trying to take a statement from do not get back to us right away and the subject may call while we are in the field and we only have our cell phone available. When this occurs, it may be the only time we will be able to take the statement. This product is a godsend and invaluable. The instructions are easy to understand and the product is easy to use. The sound is incredible. The microphone is also incredible. The person on the other end can be clearly heard and the person on the other end can clearly hear the caller. The USB aspect of the product makes the recordings easily transferable to a computer. Recordings are easily deleted from the product or from the computer when the product is attached. One thing that is not covered in the descriptions of the product, or the instructions is that you can actually switch from a normal cell phone call to the recording device. This is done by turning on the blue tooth of the cell phone while the call is going on. Since the recording device has already been paired to the phone, the recording device will automatically engage and start recording. I was experimenting and found this to be unbelievably useful and ridiculously cool. One of the other great features is that you can use the product as a regular recording device for in person statements, meetings, etc. So there is no reason to carry 2 recording devices everywhere. It should be noted that I read all of the reviews for this product and the negative ones seem to all be related to operator error, or a misunderstanding of technology. There is nothing I don't like. This product is absolutely fantastic.

I had no problem setting this up. As soon as I had it full charged bluetooth and pairing was simple. I was making calls within minutes. Works great for me.

I didn't need this until today, turns out one day to late to return. I tried to record a telephone call, IT DID NOT. Instructions are limited, buttons are tiny, slow to engage with bluetooth. This is an inferior product, look elsewhere.

Positively suprised - it really does work rather well after setup. Good battery life as promised. Lot of storage space even in basic 8GB model for calls. Had to purchase this after there isnt really any software option officially via google play to record calls anymore with new phones. Negatives: it -is- more or less inconvinient to drag this large stick like apparatus along with your phone. The phone, wallet, keys... and now this thermometer to haul around in pockets. Also, you need to always pair the thing with your phone, bit inconvinient to switch between earplugs to listen to music etc. ..While the recording sound quality is great, PR200 doesnt seem to hold any tech to combat "handling sounds", or sounds originating from device chassis touching something ever so slightly - very strong noises even if just the skin of your fingers slides a little along the side of the device or you change your grip. The call answer "remote" button on device doensnt work with whatsapp calls, youll have to press answer from your phone, records whatsapp calls normally after that though. The way device forms file name for recordings is inconvinient, hard to arrange chronologically after transferring to windows the "file edited" date changes, had to make a windows command prompt macro to remove IMHO obsolete part of filename in the beginning, leaving only date and time.

Very surprised by this recorder. I searched for whatever method I could find to automatically record my phone calls with the iPhone and I could not find an option better than this. The storage, even at 4gb last quite a while. (Like 144 hours of recording) I've been using the device for the past several months, and the pocket clip on the back has broken just a little which makes it loose, but it is still useable. The pocket clip is one of the nicest features about the device, you can easily put it on the inside of your shirt collar, and pick up whenever it rings, or use the voice recorder setting for other conversations. The device easily connects to windows by plugging in through USB and you can copy/cut all of your recordings to free up your memory. It can charge plugged into the computer, or any USB power source. The only drawback I've found on this though, it does not time and date stamp each individual file. I've not been able to find a way to set the time and date on the device. This might be the most useful thing I've bought all year. If something happened to it today, I'd buy another one immediatly. I hope that some other companies bring out similar devices to this, so that you can use a bluetooth connection right on your ear. You have to hold this to your ear, but that being said, when outside, or inside, or in my car, the volume is perfect for being able to hear other people, and other people can always hear me clearly.

Works, but buttons are not intuitive. I would use it more if it were easier to remember how to work it.

El dispositivo funciona correctamente y graba las llamadas con una buena calidad. El audio es claro de ambos lados de la llamada, pero tiene un fallo que me parece fatal. Se conecta por Bluetooth a tu celular y con su bocina integrada realizas la llamada, pero la grabadora tiene la forma de un lápiz y es incomodo sujetarlo por varios minutos seguidos. Debería de poderse conectar otros audífonos porque sí es cansado en llamadas largas estar usando la grabadora. Conclusión, funciona bien, pero no puedes usar audífonos manos libres para las llamadas.
