This two-inch belt buckle set comes standard on many of the polyester & nylon weightlifting belts that are manufactured in China these days. The reason why this particular make & model of buckle is preferred is because it is slightly contoured to fit close to the midsection, and all four corners of the buckle have been well rounded for comfort and safety. This is to minimize the pinching of the belly when the athlete is in the bent-over position.Once upon a time, lifting belts were sold in most major sporting goods stores, where folks could easily try them on. Now we have to attempt to order them online, without the benefit of being able to try them on for size - boy - what a trainwreck!Lifting belts do NOT fit the same size as a belt worn with trousers or jeans.
