Simple, sturdy, effective. Great value.
Bought this to replace the bent & worn out chainring on my son's 20" bike. Went with this one which was smaller than the original (fewer teeth) per his request. The smaller ones are currently what's popular with the kiddos - it's what the BMX and trick riders are using these days. The smaller size effectively lowers the gear ratio and makes the bike easier to pedal. This chainring is nothing fancy, but is sturdy and well made. Had no problem swapping it out on my son's bike and he's happy with it. Note: This chainring is for one-piece cranks. It may not fit correctly with 3-piece cranks.

Good quality, good price, and made of steel.
I am building a motorized bicycle. A two-stroke 4.4HP chainsaw engine will assist in operating the 10 speed derailleur and pedal crank. Using an extended shaft pedal crank, mount 50 pound feet torque (or greater) rated one-way or sprague bearing on the chainring side of the pedal crank set. Attach two of the above chainrings to the one-way bearing. One chain ring will be turned by the two-stroke engine, the other will go back to the 10 speed derailleur. By using the one-way bearing, you can either pedal or rest your feet while the engine is powering your bike, and the engine will be able to use the 10 speed derailleur like a transmission for faster acceleration and higher cruise speed. If you add another one-way bearing to the engine power output shaft, you can pedal the bike with the engine off.

Well machined gear - perfect fit
Worked great! I had boought a 26" 7speed womens cruiser bike from walmart and it came with a 44t front gear. This bikes ratio was poorly designed as everyone that road it, would "cruise" in 1st or 2nd gear. As you can imagine, when it came time to go up a hill it was very difficult because we were already in the highest gear. after buying this 32t gear, the bike comfortable rides in gear 4 out of 7. We have since put over 200 miles on the bike. This gear fit right on the bike, no cutting or grinding needed.

Solution for Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser
My girlfriend was having trouble pedaling up hills with the 44t sprocket that Huffy manufactured the bike with. So I decided to give this little cog a try. Problem solved. Went down from 44t to 32t chainring. Fits good easy install. Only wish I could've gotten it with a black finish but no big deal.

Perfect for son's Trek Jet 16"
My son does about 30-40 miles/week on his little 16" trek. It was geared way too low for him so he was hamster wheeling it at 100+ rpm cadence. Tried switching rear cog from stock 18t to 16t for gear ratio of 1.6:1 with stock 26t front sprocket. Wasn't enough to keep up with big kids. Tried 36/18t (2:1) but it was geared a little too high for hills. 32/18t was the sweet spot at 1.77:1 gear ratio. Went the other way and geared his old specialized 12" down with 22t rear cog for the pump track and beach. He now loves his dual "road/offroad" setup! Very easy to swap out with a one piece crank bottom bracket tool. Clean/regrease the bearings or replace them while you're at it. Tighten to point where it cranks smoothly but doesn't have any play/wobble. Rear cog is a simple retainer ring that you can pop off with a flathead.

Upgrade for Son's 16" bike
My 4 year Son's 16" Giant bike had a 28T sprocket in the front and while that was great for going up hills, it was hard for him to get speed going down hills, or on flat. I bought this 32T sprocket and it fit perfectly, I had to add 2 links to the chain, but after that it was perfect, and he is much faster now and loves it. Seems very sturdy, and was easy to install!

I used this to replace the 50t on my 3 speed retro cruiser. The gearing is absolutely perfect now.
