Comfrey Roots
When I received my 3 root pieces, they seemed a little small, but one had already started growing in the bag that it was shipped in. There were no planting instructions, but I put them into small pots of potting soil. The already sprouted one began to green up and grow., Now a 2nd one has started to grow. I am waiting for the 3rd one to sprout. I am very excited that they are growing. Since it is winter, I will leave them in the pots and I will plant them outside in the spring when the weather warms up. Don't give up because they seem small. Give them time and they will grow. I planted all at the end of November and by January 1st, the 2nd one that showed no growth when I received it, sprouted and began to grow. I am keeping them both in a sunny window and water them when the soil seems dry. Hopefully with time, the 3rd one will sprout as well.

Happy I took the chance to buy
All four of my roots have started growing so I am very pleased. I was hesitant on ordering after reading some reviews but I decided to order anyways. I followed the instructions soaked for four hours and I started mine in pots because I have clay soil and these need loamy soil. I used some compost with sand mixed in then I set them on my back porch behind the shade cloth. One sprouted really fast within like three days and slowly over the last two to three weeks the other three have sprouted.

It’s mid may and the root was started in February. Nothin! Nada!
It arrived in Feb.looking rather sad , a very small root with some hairy roots . I followed planting instructions and put it is a pot to start indoors right away. Truthful y it did not look viable. Sometime in March i transferred the contents to one of my comfrey patches, my intention was to bring in some fresh stock to an established space. It’s mid may now and there’s nothing growing. However my other bocking 14 plants are growing robustly, like weeds. The seller says to exhume the tiny root for inspection. Which seems pointless. If thats their plan I will just cut to the chase and take root from one of my plants and start over. I imaging that had i ordered the four pack i would have some success, but their price for those little chunks is sort of ridiculous. Its comfrey Basically once established it grows anywhere and like a weed. Stick a shovel next to one you’ll get more roots than you need.

Would buy again love the abundance of uses for this plant
Got it to grow but I believe it didn’t make it through the winter don’t know why but possibly was eaten from a gopher ?

Great plant
Takes alittle longer to start growing - by the root. They emerged from the ground about a month after planting and they are healthy and growing.

This is a temperamental plant.
When I received the four small cuttings, the wet instructions tore as I was opening the package. I went online to make sure I was doing things right. This is a very fussy plant to grow from a cutting. Only half the cuttings survived, were slow to takeoff, and needed to be babied along. I was able to transplant them, midsummer and water them along with some of my other plants. I am hoping they survive the winter.

She’s alive in 1 day!
Got 2 bare roots and 2 hour root soak that I forgot about and turned into 3 I planted immediately in terracotta pot. She was up after day one and unfurling her first leaf after day two. So far exceeding expectations. Bought two barefoot berry bushes same day same process and they still look dead. That’s the difference in buying from box store vs. private propagation. Would absolutely buy from this seller again based on immediate growth.

Very happy
I really didn’t expect all of them to grow. I’m so happy to say they are all growing. Comfrey is an amazing plant. It’s also known as knit bone. I plan on using it to make a tincture for friends and family. I also am putting some in my dogs food to help with vitamins and minerals. Thank you
