Needed replacement magnetic contacts
When our lower level of the house was re-modeled, the contactor did not save the contacts from two door moldings for my Ring and Insteon sensors. I got these just for the contacts and they work fine for my Ring and Insteon open/close sensors.

Every single one was defective
The bag contains 10 magnet sides and ten switch sides. All the switches are supposed to be open when the magnet is away and closed when near. Installed a few and they weren't working. Opened every single one and the switches were all stuck closed. The magnets had no effect on the circuit whatsoever. To late to return. Waste of money.

magnetic door/window contact saved me a ton of money!!!
We have a popular alarm company, We lost a small magnetic on our bathroom window, we calledour alarm company and asked if they could just send us 2 magnetic's and they said, We will have to send someone to your home to install the small magnet. They wanted to charge me 70.00 dollars for the service. My husband said that was ridiculous and he told me to look up a magnetic on Amazon!!!! ""I love it""!!! I have fixed my washer and dryer 3 times and so many other things that i would not have found, if not finding it on Amazon!!!! ""Thank you""!!!! :)

ok, not great. 2 out of 10 were DOA
Well, for starters, two out of the 10 in the pack were defective. Not a good start, specially since I wired up the first one and everything was good. Wired up the second one and nothing seemed to work right. Took a while to accept the possibility that the "new" sensor was DOA, which it was.Figured, I'd save myself the pain and test the remaining and found another defective one. Which raises the interesting question on product quality, and how long the non-defective ones will work. Also, I'm sure the terminology for NC and NO is reversed here. Consider it a switch - NC or normally closed would imply that the switch is closed and conducts a signal/electricity, and NO would not. In its "normal" state, i.e. without actuation this does not conduct so I'd think this should be labeled as NO. The description and pictures do explain how it works, so take a minute to verify.

Low cost perfect solution
Ok. Let’s face it that I know nothing about an alarm system. I have an ADT system and a construction worker accidentally broke this small sensor at my basement door. Well after 2 hours of waiting, 4 transfers, and horribly exasperating experience with ADT and so solution. I simply looked on the Amazon for something that looked similar to me and I found this part. The order arrived quickly, it was simple to attach, and it works perfectly. I’m still planning to change from ADT because it’s just terrible.
