Q: How do these compare to the metolius rock rings?

There's a bunch of differences: - Material. While Rock rings are made of polyurethane resin just like the normal climbing holds, eVo rings are made with CNC machine of uncovered birch wood and manually sanded in 3 stages. It gives a different feeling, absorbs sweat (does not get greasy), does not damage the skin. It is also less durable, and it is not recommended to lave it permanently outside (you will want to carry it with you all the time anyway). - Weight. Rock rings weigh 4 lbs. 2 oz. (1.9 kg) while eVo rings weigh 12 oz. (350 grm.) - essential for a portable device. Size. Rock rings size is 7¼" x 5¾x 2½" (184 mm x 146 mm x 57 mm) eVo rings size is 5½ x 5 x 1½" (140 mm x 128 mm x 40 mm). - Functionality. While Rock Rings offer 1 jug and 3 pockets (incut 4 finger pocket, flat edge 4 finger pocket, and a 3 finger pocket) all the same depth. eVo rings offer the same jug at the top, 3 pockets with a different depth (exactly like the most used pockets of Beastmaker 2000) for 1.5, 1 and 0.5 phalanges. All can be grabbed with 4,3,2 or 1 finger. Additionally, eVo rings can be used in an adjustable angle sloper mode and may be grabbed with a pinch. - Color. Rock rings are available in different colors while eVo rings come only in natural wood color. - Complements. Rock rings supplied with a fixed length 12" (30 cm) rope, eVo rings are supplied with an adjustable length 12-24" (30-60 cm), suspension training extension ropes, 2 wooden cylinders for sloper mode and a handy durable carrying bag.
