The sharp edges of the silica in DE cut into the exoskeletons of insects, damaging them and causing them to dehydrate and die. DE is considered safer than chemical pest control products. However, it can irritate the skin and eyes, so it's recommended to wear a mask when applying large amounts.

I will continue to buy this product. We had bedbugs in my building. I was hoping the bedbugs would not get into my unit. I placed these bedbug traps under my bed. I found a dead bedbug. Long story, but If it weren't for this product, I may have had more of a problem then I had.

Instructions for setup are unclear. Has only trapped one bed bug since being put out a week ago.

Works great for catching bugs. Idk about bedbugs. I feel like if you have bed bugs you need more then a glue trap. But I have used these for other bugs for years. Its amazing how many bugs come in your house and you won’t know about it unless you have these around trapping them. Good product.

The negative reviews on here are absurd. These things work great and not just for bed bugs. If your BED is infested with bugs, of course they aren't going to catch them because they are hiding IN your matress or box spring, not on the floor! These DO catch any and all bugs that walk into them. I've put them under beds, under bookshelves, under the furniture and in the basement because that's where bugs like to hide. These do the job and are easily disposable. If you have a bedbug infestation IN your bed, these will do little because the pests are already nested up nice and cozy inside your matress just waiting for you to go to sleep. Common sense folks!

I do not recommend the purchase of this product. The package comes with 20 glue traps. I placed 5 of glue traps in strategic places as instructed. After leaving the 5 traps for 5 days, not a single bed bug was found in any of the glue traps -- yet the critters were most certainly chomping on ME. I gave "ease of use" 3 stars because, after I ruined the first one in my attempt to assemble (instructions seemed vague, but figured assembly out anyway), the traps were fairly easy to put together. While I caught no bugs, I gave "adhesion" a 5 star since the glue effect seemed exceptional. So much so I was virtually certain I would catch bedbugs by the glue effect alone. But nope. On the plus side, if you want to give them a try, according to some reviews they seem to work exceptionally well. (This was the reason I decided to try them.) I appreciate that I was able to return the remaining 15 glue traps, that I had not used, for a money return.

I was very fortunate when I realized my home was infultrated with bed bugs. We only found 5 in my bedroom. 5 .... if there are 5 there are probably plenty more! I have done everything I could possibly do to rectify the situation! Burned my bed... cleaned... treated treated and treated. This has had an extreme physical, mental and psychological toll on me and my poor body. I’m sleeping on the couch until our new bed arrives. I was waking up in the middle of the night with panic attacks feeling like bugs were crawling all over me! When I received your product I placed 10 traps in various areas of my home, 4 in my bedroom alone. It has been about 4 days now and I have found nothing... well a spider or two. I have even moved them around a bit and still nothing! I’m not positive if I have completely taken care of the situation.... I’m still working on it. All I know is that not finding anything in these traps have given me a huge piece of mind!!! I’m not having the panic attacks while I sleep anymore!! Thank you very much!

These are great insect traps. We used them initially for bed bugs, but now that problem is solved we've kept buying them because they are GREAT bug traps. We have an old house with lots of bug issues, especially crickets, spiders, centipedes and ants. These traps catch them all in a way that isn't hazardous to our dogs. As a bonus, the way they are constructed means the dogs can't get stuck to them if they go exploring under the furniture (which one of them likes to do). I just place them in areas that have a lot of bug traffic (under beds, in corners etc.) and change them out weekly, or as needed. Thanks for a great product.

It's no good. Does nothing at all. Followed all instructions.
