Excellent read for all those interested in Australian Heritage
An interesting look at a man ofttimes mis-represented. Rob Mundle has examined 'the other side' of Bligh's personality to reveal a brilliant person. Great read for anyone interested in 'where and what we come-from'. Although this book spdends minimal time on Bligh's Australian sojour, it shows the character and fortitude of out early Governor.

A Must read
I was enthralled from chapter 1 and couldn't put it down, reading all day until finished. It totally changed my opinion of Bligh, he was not the tyrant the movies made him out to be. Rob Mundle wrights in a very compellling way, easy to read and understand. A must read

This is an incredible story. The book starts out slow but once Bligh is on the Endeavor in an effort to bring bread foot back the story comes to life. It was frustrating to not understand the real causes of the mutiny. Perhaps even Bligh never understood but some piece of the puzzle is missing. Either Bligh changed his leadership style or the real cause of the mutiny remains a puzzle.

Very, very good. Rob Mundle is among my favourite authors and he seems to get better at each outing, although I suspect that he will eventually run out of subjects. Highly recomended for anyone who likes a story with a touch of salt to it.

This book is very well written with a mass of background information that has been researched by the author which indeed highlights that Captain Bligh was a master mariner and navigator. The story of the mutiny is very well covered and it’s aftermath. The adventures of Captain Bligh are vividly described in great detail and the author allows one to come on the ride......whether in the paradise of Tahiti to stormy stretches of Pacific Ocean. To have achieved the incredible voyages after the mutiny that Captain Bligh was able to accomplish are indeed inspiring. This book is certainly well worth reading.

The book suffers greatly from a lack of maps and charts.

There certainly is a lot more to Captain Bligh than mutiny, rum and convicts.

The book gives Bligh the credit he deserved and I enjoyed reading the book very much. L
