Duralex LYS Glass Bowl, 2 oz, Clear

Very sturdy and useful for adding ingredients to a recipe. They need to be packaged better. One was out of the shipping frame so I could hear glass rattling around before I opened package. Thank goodness the product survived without breaking. Very strong glass. I like them a lot.

I have to admit when these arrived a few days early I was happy - until I picked up the box and heard glass clanking... NEVER a good sign. The packing was horrible... and one of the small bowls had broken free from it's cardboard packaging and was bouncing against all the other open edges of bowls. I am pleased to report that not a single one was broken, chipped or cracked. Now - who knows how long they'd been clanking around against each other.. but these come from outside the United State - so my guess is that it had been loose for some time due the lack luster mail packaging.. That says to me these are some incredibly tough little bowls! They are clear ..eyeballing it they would comfortably hold about 3 tablespoons of something without overflowing the bowl. As tough as these little gems seem to be - I would suggest they do a MUCH better job packing - especially internationally! I am very pleased with these so far - however, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

I use these sturdy little bowls daily to administer pills to my 10 lb. dog. (I microwave a tablespoon of cooked hamburger for a few seconds, stir the hamburger and then place pills on top and serve!) They would also be perfect for prep work when cooking or to serve a small sauce.

Perfect size for meal preparation. Use these for your ingredients before starting to cook and you'll find everything goes smoothly. Or their also perfect size to feed a toddler first meals.

I use these on a daily basis and found them to be excellent little cups for holding spices as I am preparing to cook something. I've had them in the freezer then to room temperature water without cracking.Our floors are ceramic tile in the kitchen so usually anything that is made of glass WILL BREAK if dropped. But I have dropped one of these a couple of times and it did NOT break. I am a happy cooker.

I love these little bowls because they're perfect to hold salt and pepper when cooking and you need a pinch. Also excellent for small ingredients, i.e. minced shallots, chives etc.

The bowls are great. They are sturdy. The size is perfect for my needs.
