These were excellent to use for a sign! Clear and sturdy! They were thick enough.

I am not sure why these are returned frequently, but they work great for me. They are a little more rigid than some because they are on the hard side, so perhaps people are breaking them more often. But the benefits for me are, with a fine toothed blade, they cut really well, and they drill nicely too, usually less to try to trim of and risk scratching the clarity. I have bought these many times and for my purposes are perfect.

The acrylic is sturdy yet easy to work with. I used a power saw to cut them into smaller pieces for a custom display stand, and the sheets cut smoothly without cracking or chipping. I’ve also used them for a couple of painting projects, and the surface is great for both acrylic and spray paint. The black color gives the projects a sleek, professional look.

I bought a 2 pack of this 1/8" 20"x24" acrylic. When I tried cutting this with my CO2 laser cutter, it smoked way more than any acrylic I've ever used before, didn't cut all the way through and produced a very pronounced flange along the cut as through it melted along the edge, like polyethelyne does. And this is with laser cutting settings I've successfully used before with 1/8" acrylic with no problems. I tried another cut by removing the backing film from both sides first and had the same problems, so the problem is in the stock material itself, not the protective film. When handling the scraps they also shattered easily into many pieces. I also measured it and it's almost half a mm shy of being actually 1/8", and that's with the protective film. I don't know what this crap is exactly, but it's not normal, quality acrylic.Curiously enough, I bought another pack of the same 1/8" acrylic from the same calpalmy brand that was 24"x36" and it cut normally. I also double checked my laser cutter with stock that I knew had worked well before and it cut just fine. This calpalmy brand is either lying about what this material is or has no quality control whatsoever. Last time I buy from them.

Highly recommend this plexiglass !!! It’s exactly what I was looking for not bad on price either will purchase again.
