HOLY SMOKES! I have a treasured set of 30 year old professional German made knifes. I have more difficulty at my current age (north of 60) with trying to sharpen them using the "hand held Steel" that I have always used. JUST because I make all my food from scratch in my kitchen, a dull knife is a hazard to my health. IN 5 swipes thru the sharpener, my knife was sharper than I could ever get it with using the steel for 20 min!!!!!!!!!!!It fits in a drawer, and I pull it out every couple of days to keep my 6" J.A.Henckel's knife sharp as the dickens!!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, IT IS KLUTZ PROOF! It works better than the electric one I had. After I wash my knifes I run them through a couple of times before putting away. Very Happy with this product. I did have a problem with the handle top. The piece of metal on top of the handle had come off during shipping. It had been glued on good because of the amount of glue I had to scrape off. I then got the famous gorilla glue and fixed it good as new.

Works great on my Veg Cleaver, I sharpen it one every two weeks unless I give it a chip. I'm normally using a very expensive sharpening still at work and the results are the same. The two stage is nice because it buffs out the chips that a single stage cannot. This sharpener is well built and I feared it may be flimsy. I am not dissapointed!

Nice and compact. Fits into a drawer. Seems to do the job. We use only the fine sharpener, as all our knives were pretty sharp to begin with. Great price.

I bought an expensive electric sharpener and it really played havoc on the blades. This is the best sharpener I have ever had. Ordered one for each of my daughters and they love it too.

Have not used it much so far, but seems to be what the doctor ordered. Really like the design, I can hold it solidly down and avoid any mishaps.
