Nice little knife. Comfortable to wear and handy. Feels great in my medium sized hand with the addition of a leather lanyard. Came with a good edge that was made better with a quick stropping. Blade is as thick as the larger SCHF59. Sheath holds the knife securely and looks as cool as the knife. Not much can go wrong with this knife so I'm sure I'll have it for a long time. Great value for a useful and well constructed knife and sheath. I was wanting something a bit more substantial for my intended purpose. so upon receiving this and seeing the quality, I immediately ordered the SCHF59. My girlfriend has taken this over as it's not as scary as my other knives. It's an Amazon box opening monster !

Honest Review ; I had a similar neck knife . It was a bit more expensive but was so light around my neck - I forgot it was there . Each and every day I take my 3 dogs for long walks thru the wooded area behind my house .- You never know what is lurking back there . I collect knives . Most times I would wear on my belt loop ) but those knives are pretty big - and long . So I wanted one of these neck knives . My first ever neck style knife was really nice . But really light . I literally forget that I would be wearing it . Walk into a grocery store or the local mall and I’m wondering why some people are looking at me strange .... Oops!! I forgot about that —/ then I just tuck under my shirt . Anyway - I just had to order this little guy by Schrade/. Not only is it super sharp but it’s got a nice weight to it . Not too heavy but at least I know it’s there !! No forgetting I got this around my neck .... No more fumbling around in case my dogs get tangled on branches and wild weeds . No more fumbling around in case a wild ass raccoon or angry ass Bird wants to suddenly attack .. This thing is great !! Just one quick tug away from body and look out !!! Hahahahaha— For now I am just using cheaply made paracord but eventually will be using the gun metal ball chain ( also ordered here on Amazon - just waiting a few more days for delivery ). Highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for a neck or boot knife that is not too big .

I’ve had this as my EDC knife for over a year. I wanted a knife that I could carry on my belt without it getting funky when sitting down. I found with anything larger, they get funky when seated. I also wanted a knife that blended in well and didn’t stick out as to say “Hey, look I carry a knife”. My entire wardrobe is black and has been for years, so I figure, a black sheathed, black fixed blade would suit me well. The size is perfect. It’s small enough to not get in the way and large enough to do daily stuff like open letters, cut off tags, and all the other stuff you’d use your EDC knife for. I also wear it while riding my motorcycle and again, nice and inconspicuous. After a bit of cutting cardboard, fishing usage or heavier duties, it loses its edge. I find myself having to run it on a sharpener every time I use it like that. The sheath is awesome. It holds the knife really well and cut be adjusted for different draw preferences. I have an older Schrade folder that comes from a time when they were made in the USA, and that knife holds the edge really well (even after cutting through that clear, plastic clamshell packaging everything comes in these days). I added a paracord strap to go around my wrist during those times when dropping it may lose it (like over water, cliff or deep hole). I’d recommend this little knife, but for light duty stuff. Or, just understand that you’ll need to sharpen it more often than other higher quality blades. For under $20, it is what it is! I won’t be replacing it anytime soon - I give this an outlook of 3-5 years when the sheath stops holding well or the blade’s been sharpened so many times to the point that it needs to be replaced.

This was my first knife, and I purchased it for a camping trip. While my partner is experienced with many kinds of knives (such as folding outdoor knives and various chef's knives), I have a history of clumsiness and have been intimidated by them. I wanted a knife that simple, but would not let me down when I needed it. This was a perfect fit for me. It's a fixed, full tang blade, so it is incredibly strong. It's easy to hold and comfortable too, and was lightweight enough to carry on my belt all day, every day. The sheath is almost like a hard case and is very rugged. It took me a while to get used to the amount of force it takes to remove the knife from the sheath, but I think that's a good thing for personal safety and to not lose the knife. When worn, it kept sliding around on my belt, but I think if I had used a better belt it would have stayed in place. The blade seems short at first, but it's sturdy, safe and dependable. I mostly used it for cutting rope and preparing kindling but having it at my side was also handy for cutting fishing line and opening packages while cooking. Finally, the sweetest thing about this knife is the price. I looked at many lower-quality knives at this price and higher, and this one goes above and beyond. I have only brought it on one trip so far, but I have no doubt that I will have many other opportunities to put it good use.
