Best investment you'll ever make working with electronics.
I love this station and I highly recommend it if you plan on doing a fair amount of soldering.I started with a cheap 110v 60w soldering iron from amazon and that had some kind of potentiometer to turn the temperature up and down but the temp control knob would fall off and you wouldn't know what temperature to put it back on at and it wasn't accurate.I had also purchased a portable BernzOmatic soldering iron/heat gun/torch that worked pretty well but that was kind of dangerous since I'm a quadriplegic and I have no finger control.I did not have a solder sucker nor anyway to get rid of the smoke from soldering. The soldering iron heats up very quickly and can easily melt down 1.6mm solder which is great because the other soldering iron I had couldn't do that and it's easier for me to handle the thicker solder. The smoke absorber is also great only a tiny bit of smoke doesn't get absorbed but as soon as you use it you'll notice the difference of using a soldering iron with a smoke absorber and one without it's like night and day.The hot air is instantly HOT! It works really well to shrink heat shrink.I have 2 complaints.1. The solder sucker shares vacuum with the smoke absorber so you can only have one plugged in at a time.2. The holder for the heat gun sucks and the hose could be a little longer.

Good Station, Poor Documentation Included
This is a good station and I was pleasantly surprised with how quick it heated up. It works as good if not better than expected. The only issue I have with it is the quality of instructions or documentation that came with it which was a slight issue for myself as a novice in the soldering world. Also, the one I received was missing the rack to hold the heat gun portion that is shown in the images. Overall I am happy with the purchase however, and I would recommend it.

I really wanted to like this station
I really wanted to like this station. The iron works great. One of the best I have used. The hot rework gun, however, is not good in my experience The first heating of element of the hot air gun failed after a few minutes of use. So, I soldered in the replacement. (You have to use a completely separate iron for this as powering up the iron also sends power to the hot air gun. No way to disconnect this, so unless you want a nasty shock, use a different iron if you must perform this repair.)I was able to use the second element for a few days on the PCB for a ham radio I am building. Went to use it this morning and I as reached for it, it burst into flames. It was a little hairy for a minute getting this fire put out. Just as I was about to reach for the shop extinguisher, I was able to get it out with some towels instead. Saved myself a mess and a ruined radio that was on the bench at the time. I am thankful at this point nothing else was ruined.Edit: Added photos. Note, charring on tip and melted handle.2nd Edit: I can't give enough kudos to Mark Ethan (where I purchased the unit). They handled the issue very professionally and resolved it for me quickly. Problems with products occur, the key is how a vendor responds. In that regard, I can highly recommend this vendor.

Great product, if yours works properly!
Bought this as a microsoldering tool since it was the most complete system I could find. I was very impressed with the packaging and shipment of the product. However after an hour of taking apart and trying to decifer the instruction manual I finally got the station up and running. I came across an issue with my device as the air flow will not go over half way on the air ball gauge when turned all the way up. I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong but with the lack of instruction in the manual as well as this not being fully functional out of the box gets this item 3 out of 5. It does what it said it was going to but am a little upset with the air flow potentially being broken or working at 60% it's advertised working capacity. Will add a photo to this review in the near future of what I'm experiencing.

Updated Review - 3 Stars
Had to change my review on this one. Unit lasted us for almost a year before it stopped heating. It initially worked great for us and we saved a lot of money, but didn't last as long as it should have. For those that are curious, we use it about once per week for about 1-2 hours.

Great Product, Saves a lot of time.
I haven't used this tool very much yet, but so far so good. We are a computer repair store and we have been outsourcing some of our solder power (power jack replacement, replacement chips, charge ports on phones, etc). I have done 2 for customers and practiced on a few dead motherboards just to get the hang of it.The soldering iron heats up very quick and controls the temperature well. The smoke vacuum is a nice add on so you aren't inhaling lead smoke. The heat gun works really well. It will melt solder, which works well for removing chips with several small connectors. I replaced a power jack on a lap top in just a few minutes. My only frustration was the manual. It is very poorly translated and basically useless. I just had to play around with the controls and different attachments to see what each one was for. I don't know what some of the components are.It does come with some extra filters for the vacuum and what I'm guessing are replacement heating elements (it would be nice if the manual explained what those parts were and how to replace them). As long as it lasts and doesn't wear quick, it is a great tool at a great price.
