Wire Mesh Snakeproof Leggings Snake Chaps

I bought these for rounding up cotton mouth's on the in-laws 10 acres in Brown County, Indiana. They secure with minimal effort and due to their stiff material, they stay put quite nicely, but, as I stated in the title, they tend to heat up with the sun shining directly on them. I usually where them for an hour or two at a time, and relish the opportunity to take them off once finished. Not that the material causes any discomfort. The sweat factor is the core issue for me. The material does not wick away moisture, or allow it to penetrate, thus, I am left with sweat drenched legs if the sun is shining and the temps are above 70. I still recommend these over nothing, if you are attempting to handle or work around venomous snakes, but I recommend at least glancing at the snake proof boots available as I have seen special at about $80+ in certain sporting good store catalogs.

These feel very tough. I haven't been attacked yet, but these have my full faith and are like armor. I carry them in my field pack every time I hit the prairie. Good for brush, wet and dry. I'm 6'0", and these fit great with nice coverage. They do not fit my petite gorgeous wife (5'5"). I trust these more than the plate type or space age material type.
