Perfect seal no more back drafts. Just to note it's a vertical instalation really as it closes with gravity.

I get a lot of draft coming through the bathroom extractor so I decided to get one of these. I was pleased with the product. The tube was thick and sturdy, but the flap was lightweight and a nice snug fit inside the tube. The flap was literally paper thin with 2 off-centre pins that held it into place. I simply took the extraction tube out of the wall, cut it in half and pushed the valve into place and pushed the other half of the tube over the opposite end. This product requires no DIY skills, and the job took me about 10 mins to install. The main thing, and most important thing is, I no longer have a harsh whistling draft gushing around the bathroom. Come the winter I will save money…no more drafts, or, cold temperatures, and for that reason it’s value for money. This product does exactly what it’s supposed to do and does it simply and effectively.

We had a new extractor fan fitted in our kitchen and the draught coming in was horrendous so I replaced the vent cover to little effect, and then added a large cowl, also to little effect. As a last resort I bought this and the improvement is great. Was a little small for our corrugated ducting so had to pack and then use a sealant, but that was simple enough (albeit making what I thought would be a 5 minute job significantly longer). Has a bit of a rattle in the wind or when the kitchen door is opened or closed which can be annoying - it could have done with a simple rubber gasket or other small addition to prevent this. Is made from a type of plastic that doesn't inspire much confidence - it appears very brittle, cheaply made, and looks and feels more like it should be a few pounds. Although it does the job and is comparably cheap to many others out there, I'd look for something of better quality if I was to fit another.

Does it’s job. Sizing is accurate and slots nicely into the 150mm pipe I brought separately as part of a kitchen extractor fan installation

Great product dies what it’s supposed to

Purchased this for bathroom to help stop condensation in extractor fan tubing by reducing outside cold air entering

Used this on the duct from a cooker extract hood as the shutters on the external grille had broken. It does what it says on the tin! Just make sure you install it the correct way as it does not have a direction of flow arrow on it.
