Seems to work okay on sauces. Doesn't work on anything like chunky soup. Overpriced for what it is but maybe has a use in your house.

Superb product. It loses a star on its rating because it will struggle to stir anything thick and dry like a risotto but very wet things like baked beans, soup and in particular stirs béchamel sauce brilliantly.It is quite loud in an open plan kitchen from the vibrating. Has 3 speeds. Well made. Battery compartment clicks off so it can be submerged for washing and dishwasher safe.

Purchased for one daily usage, to stir my morning porridge! It worked fine until the porridge reached the thickening stage when it slowed down considerably. To prevent porridge from being burnt by the base of the pan it must be stirred constantly during cooking. As it cooks it thickens becoming more dense, at which point the device lacked the power to carry on stirring at an appropriate speed.Decent, creamy porridge can only be made in a pan on the hob and this requires constant manual stirring until a good electro/ mechanical device can be purchased. I returned this item for a refund.

Decent item when it works. Mine has stopped working after half a dozen uses. All the lights come on but the motor just isn’t doing anything - have ordered the rechargeable version to see if it fairs any better.

It's like having an extra hand in the kitchen - brilliant for sauces and gravy

First couple of times of using, beef gravy and then chicken gravy, it left a sort of Helston jelly ball in the middle. Since then we have manually stirred the granules at the beginning and then a couple of times through the heating up and never had another problem. Certainly takes the strain out of standing constantly stirring as it thickens. So yes def recommend just don’t rely on it 100%. It will do 95% of the work though
