I love this thing - I needed a light for my keyboard as I'm often working in the dark to kind of conserve the cool of my office in the summer heat, and after a few false starts, found this guy. I use it with a 32" monitor and it fits right in, I've got it set on about medium brightness so it lights up my keyboard without affecting my monitor. I've got it mounted on an old Ikea desktop, which as some of you know, is basically cardboard - so any kind of pressure collapses the desk, but it's working out fine so far. It does have some light quality settings, but I settled on a warm white and about medium brightness, which it does remember from use to use, which is nice.

Light worked great for 5 years. I just bought a new one to replace my dead one. I've used this Light 10+hours a day 7 days a week without 1 issue. My power button rubbed off after 5 years, that is how durable it is.

I put this to use right away and liked it a lot. The arm is sturdy and joints tight, and the desk clamp strong. But then yesterday I unfolded it out to use agsin and the head came right off and internal wires ripped right out of the head making it now unusable. I looked into what happened and found that although the arm and clamp were designed very well the joint between the head and the arm is very very poorly made. The joint becomes loose now and then so you have to keep tightening it, but the worst part is once it gets a little loose it can pull right off the arm with little force. That really messes up a great product. If the wires don't pull out you can push the head back into place but you will need three hands because of the way the mechanism is made. It can be done however with a little patience. With mine though the wires pulled out and ripped off of the circuit board so to fix mine I had to solder them back to the board as well as reattach the head to the arm. One nice thing came out of this though. I was able to pull the wire out of the body of the arm before soldering the wires back on. This gave me the option of placing the control switch closer to the head of the light rather than the bottom as it comes stock. Now it is much easier to control the brightness and color. Some Details There are three wires red white, and black. If you cut them you can then pull the cable out from the arm then resolver and then put the switch anywhere you want it. You do have to get thecwires back on in the same way they were before removal. If they rip out, red goes to the center contact and the white and black wires to the other two contacts. So my light is working again but I am going to design a better mechanism for connecting the head to the arm. The light works nice enough that I don't mind putting a little effort into modifying it. Light is bright. Everything works as intended. Would buy again. I actually have 2. The only criticism I have is that the clamp I wish was a little bigger and stronger, but on small table it works for what it was made for.

The light has 2 modes: cool fluorescent and warm daylight. The brightness levels can also be adjusted and in my experience, the clamp is strong and works just fine. The problem, from what I can surmise is: the wiring is bad/cheap. The light works great, no problems for a few weeks, then, just as others have said, the light started flickering and at one point, I could not get it to turn on. There's a blue light that sits behind the power button that lets you know when the light itself is getting electricity. This small light is always on, even if the lamp is off, and if this light is ever off, it means your lamp isn'tgetting any power. The lamp only starts to work again when you unplug and plug it is and jostle the wire countless times, I even got desperate enouh to blow air into the usb connection, like it was an old gameboy (this obviously didn't work.) A shame, since it was a very good light. So sure, you'll save money, but you'll only have a working light for a few weeks, after that, you'll get a tempermental strobe light that can be turned off when the wind changes direction and the only way to turn it back on is to shake the wire and unplug it fifteen times over. Just bite the bullet and get a different one that costs a bit more. It's probably cheaper to spend around 100 or so for a light that will last you a long time, than then to keep spending 20 on one that breaks every few weeks.

UPDATE March 20: The seller suggested replacing the USB adapter, which i did and the problem has since not replicated itself. Problem solved!! Rating updated. UPDATE February 2024: The lamp keeps shorting and turning itself off. I turn it on again and its fine for a while. It seems to be getting worse, its now even losing power to its little button panel. Looks like a short somewhere. Discontinuing this dangerous lamp. OLD REVIEW from August 2023: I love the shape of the light, i love how flexible and stable the lamp is with 3 different light settings and a number of brightness settings. Easy setup and very versatile to use.

So I have been using it for several years now and its just bad. The electronic switch works when it wants to. I often have to unplug and replug the unit it because the touch control panel seems to lock up. But the worst part is where the light attaches to the arm extension. It never wants to stay in the clamp! If you want to readjust the light better set aside some time in your calendar becasue this thing is gonna fall out of the clamp and cause you all kinds of grief. That includes accidently bumping it or even nudging the table too hard. Cant believe I havent pitched this thing out yet! I guess I just am trying to justify my purchase but im telling you .... look elsewhere !!!

Funciona a la perfección.

The light switches off a few seconds after it is turned on right from the box. Also the remote control is inconveniently placed really close to the lamp which makes it unideal if placing the lamp at a far corner on a desk.
