I tried quite a few "couch console" options before finding this one but all of them felt cheap or over engineered for my needs. The sofa buddy is simple, well-made and hard to beat for the price.It's very sturdy, the material is soft to the touch and it doesn't take up a lot of space. The big cup holders (approximately 3.25") fit my 32 ounce water bottle perfectly. Love that both cup holders have cut outs for mugs and the center slot is great for remotes, a small iPad, Kindle or any other random items you want nearby.

The holes need to be deeper to sufficiently support taller cups, mugs or cans. Unless your bevarage fits tight in the hole, tall drinks can still tip over. Everything in the picture is touching the bottom of the holder.As you can see, the depth is lightly over half the length of a 12 oz can, so it is not that deep.The build quality is nice with the anti slip bottom but having to worry everytime I have a drink in it is a headache.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He has a bad back and often watches movies while reclining in bed. His snacks stay securely in place. The remote caddy is also a plus. He uses this daily!

So far so great. I have a sectional and my husband likes to sit his drinks on the floor Infront of him when he is on the couch bc we have a small living room so we don't have a coffee table just an entertainment center and couch so this has saved a lot of messes and now I can get a new rug and it won't get reuned and I don't have to pick a dark color! This is amazing the only little thing I didn't like was that little plastic inserts that go in the bottom don't like to stay flat in the bottom like they should when there's not a cup sitting on it to hold it down but other then that it's awesome and I recommend 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have this massively long sectional sofa in our living room and the cushions are also super deep. That being said, as comfy as the sofa is, having a drink while seated, requiring climbing out of the sofa to place that drink on the coffee or end tables was getting old, not to mention potentially messy as you squirm forward toward the tables with drink in hand.
