We R Memory Keepers 660524 Button Press Kit, White and Green,

When I was looking into badge makers, the three most important things for me were: - Interchangable components (Different sizes and shapes, such as hearts!) - Reliability and sturdiness (Able to press consistent A-Grade pins) - Ease of use and repair All of these qualities lead me to this affordable machine that had EVERY single one of the specifications I needed. The button press kit itself comes with the light blue, mid-sized button presser, however I bought the small and large sizes as add-ons! They also have a heart-shaped insert (which is arriving soon!) and a small rectangular insert which I haven't tried yet but am excited to! Each insert kit comes with: 5 Button press fronts & backs, a die cutter of the correct size to use to cut out your button papers (also fantastic for stickers!), and the top and bottom inserts for your button maker. THINGS TO NOTE & TROUBLESHOOTING 1. This machine produces incredibly accurate and consistent results. HOWEVER. It's EXTREMELY important that in order to do so, the top and bottom components are properly aligned. I've misaligned them a couple times, and it's caused the machine to stick/mess up my buttons, however, this is 100% user error on my part. In the photos I included: - I am standing on the left side of the machine - The A + A arrows are aligning with each other, with the arrow on top of the machine AND with the large - I can only rotate the upper component counterclockwise to reach the B alignment - B + B alignment align with each other, the arrows and the small presser mechanism. This has given me the best and most consistent pins every single time! Please note: If your machine becomes stuck, don't panic! Try to gently pry apart the stick pieces with something by sliding it into the gap. It should come unstuck! Don't try to force the presser down too hard, on an unstable surface, or beyond it's capacity. I've also found that anything thicker than paper, mylar or cellophane does not pass easily through the machine. This is standard, and there are lots of pretty cellophanes and mylar sheets that won't jam your machine! I haven't tried fabric yet, however, I think should the fabric you choose be thin enough, it might be able to pass through! So far, I love this button press, and it's made it possible to make multiple consistently excellent pins. The only errors I have encountered due to mistaken use or user error, other than that, it's an absolute joy to use. The only thing I would consider a true "Con" about the machine is that sometimes the presser lever sheds white plastic. This is relatively easy to clean up though and I'm going to just seal the lever handle with a sealant!

This little machine makes badge making a breeze- once you learn the proceedure. I found the easiest approach was to lay out all the components in the right order first, that way you don't omit a step. I'd also recommend watching a video (plenty on You Tube) to get familiar with the process. It does not need particular strength or dexterity to operate. It can die cut the picture component of the badge as a die is included, but I find it easier to use my die cutting machine unless i'm making just one or two badges. The finished badges look very professional and I like that you can purchase an assortment of add ons to make other shapes or items such as keyrings, magnets etc. to extend the creative possibilities. Taking into account the machine cost and components, you have to make a lot of items to make it cost effective, but it does allow you to make personal gifts/custom items at a reasonable price and so I think is good value. It's also good fun.

Found this very easy to use. produced lovely little flair badges for scrapbooking. I like that you can buy different inserts for different badge sizes. No problems.

Tried hard to get this to work. Very fiddly and it just squashed the badge. Had to return it.

This button press is genuinely the easiest thing to use. I went into this assuming it would be daunting and aiming for a press that would be on the cheaper side to see if the hobby would stick and I am insanely impressed. 3/5 of my starter buttons that came with this kit came out essentially perfect. My two failures were entirely user error by forgetting to switch the insert back from A to B, or having my paper be crinkled when put into the press. Again, both entirely my own fault, so the press itself is flawless. Even with cheap basic printer paper they still look stunning, and I can imagine how much better they'd look with higher quality paper. My ONE genuine single gripe about this machine is how much force is required to use the cutter provided with the press. When using the button pieces (backing, shell and mylar film) barely any force is required. The press itself does an amazing job with its accessibility, doing most of the work for you (one of the things I was very impressed with it and loved about it). I could even use it sitting down! However, the cutter insert required me to press it down VERY firmly. I found myself having to open and press it down several times to get it to actually cut through the paper all the way around. That being said, I do also want to point out to the credit of the cutter that even though some of my circles were not cut perfectly around the edges and were left with some white paper, they're completely hidden when pressed and you wouldn't even know they were misaligned. Even with my issues I'm still rating this five stars. I'd just recommend looking into getting a better circular cutter, it'll save you so much wrist pain since the press does the actual buttons so effortlessly. For the price as well I was incredibly satisfied and I'm very interested in getting bigger button sizes in the future! If you're looking for a good, cost effective start to making buttons as either a hobby or for sale and don't want to spend hundreds on something fancy, this is definitely the one to go with. : )

For every one that works at least five get stuck, get crushed or some pieces are left out and sharp. Part A works almost perfectly but part B is very temperamental.

Fue un regalo para mí mujer que le encanta hacer manualidades. Está encantada con el producto . Fácil de manejar y las chapas quedan especialmente hermosas. Lo único que se debe saber un poquito de algún programilla como Photoshop o parecido para sacar imágenes en buena calidad y plasmarlas en la chapa. 100% recomendado. Saludos.

I got this button maker and a 100 pack of refill buttons for one of my kids for Christmas. To say they loved it would be an understatement! The button maker had a tiny bit of a learning curve involved, but it didn't take long to figure out. What followed was a drawing frenzy to make art for the buttons. Within 2 weeks, ALL of the buttons were assembled, each with unique custom art. I chose this one because it seemed to be more durable and of higher quality than others I saw available. It was more expensive than other options, but again, I wanted quality and durability. It would have been really disappointing to have it break soon after receiving it. This one has held up well with VERY heavy use. I do wish I had seen the kit with all the cutters included before buying, but we are VERY happy with the one we got.
