Great for Medical Professionals and Students
This book is great! I'm in PA school and sometimes struggle to remember dosing and indications for some drugs. This is a great way to quickly look them up, especially if you don't have time to look online. If you aren't sure what to prescribe for a certain disease, I recommend the disease edition. This book will NOT help if you don't know which medication you're looking for. The book is a little big so it may not be great for a lab coat, but depending on the size of your lab coat it maybe will fit. At the very least, it doesn't take up much space so it would be a great desk reference for any medical professional dealing with prescribing medications.

Classic and growing
Wow! This baby is getting hefty. Over the years it has gotten thicker. But only in part due to more and more meds. The editors are also providing tons more info about the meds. I have mobile pharm apps but using this is quicker for the basics. If I want mechanisms of action, interactions in details, etc. then of course I'll turn to an app but for an easy to see list in a class of meds or dosing,!this is my go-to resource.

Great resource for medical students to help learn about the ...
Great resource for medical students to help learn about the various drugs we see in clinical settings. When I'm off doing rotations (I'm a first year medical student), I sometimes hear a drug that I'm unfamiliar with, so whipping out this book is helpful for familiarizing myself. Also, it's usually frowned upon to take out a phone and look stuff up, so a book works a lot better.

To big to carry around, yet great resource!
Not as small as I thought it would be. Therefore it will likely stay in my office desk instead of my pocket. However it is an excellent resource! If you want to carry it in a lab coat, definitely don't get the Deluxe Edition.

Clear, concise reference, just what the doctor ordered.
I order this each year and use it instead everday in my practice.reattach a great Reference. It is is easy to use, the large print is very helpful and it has enough details about dosages, use in pregnancy, breast feeding, pediatrics and it discusses on label and off label uses, which is extremely helpful.

The Gold Standard for every physicians' pocket!
I have been buying the Tarascon series for years and have used them in my primary care practice as well as Urgent Care and the Emergency Dept. I advise every resident and medical student to get the Pharmacopoeia every year but also to get the specific edition for their rotations. These are my first reference when on the go and have saved me many hours of internet searches! Please, please don't stop printing these valuable resources!

Daily use
Definitely a worthwhile investment. I also have epocrates phone app but I still love turning to this book as my number one resource. The deluxe version is still small enough to fit in my lab coat, albeit a little thick and heavy but worth the added weight :)
