OtterBox Commuter Series Case for iPhone 12 Mini - Black

It was great.

Sturdy but not. Too heavy

I bought the otterbox symmetry case for my phone and it was really nice, slim and did protect phone when I dropped it but I kept getting notices that my charging cables didn't work. Then it finally dawned on me. I work outside in a lot of dust, dirt and debris and my old case had port protection. The symmetry case does not, so I bought the commuter series. It seems to have slightly better protection but is still pretty slim and light. The port protector flap doesn't seem to seat down in the slot completely but it doesn't come open and seems to be working well.

Always a great case to protect the phone and affordable

Bought this style otter box because the symmetry (I feel) is kinda a fail for the mini. I’m on my 4th case to try to find a well rounded protection for my mini. I’m seeing many cases skimping on outer lip sturdiness especially around the power/volume/charging port areas. I’ve gone from a iPhone 8 where cases are rather solid to this mini and the cases I’m finding have really thin protection around the areas I described earlier. The only other case that matches otter box is UAG. This commuter case certainly gives my mini the solid feel. The double layered protection seems appropriate but even this case comes with the flaws. Pros- I know this case will last, otterboxes are at least good for that. Case makes mini feel solid and is attractive as well. Cons- others have stated this but pressing buttons is a bear! One really has give that extra push to get results. Not really a downer but other cases out there are certainly better in that department. The areas that are not close or around the outer plastic protected parts are not as stiff as I would like them- however that’s just me. So, I’ll run with this for awhile and see how it goes. Really wish Magpul would make one for my mini but I may go back to my UAG- we’ll see.

Not as sturdy as the higher end case but is working well so far. And it slips into pockets easier than the heavy duty one.

On paper, this is the toughest otterbox product I've ever owned in my 7+ years of using Otterbox products. They normally lasta minimum of 6 months and with at least one significant drop. This one has had zero significant drops but is falling apart just from putting case on and off

Not sure is it just my case, anyway the top of the case (plastic + Silicon) don't seal properly. For your consideration
