Simply Pure Hydration Purist 23 oz Insulated Water Bottle - BPA Free Sport Bottle - 20% Colder Than Other Insulated Bottles - Limited Edition, Watergate Cap

I ordered one of these bottles with the watergate cap. I loved it so I ordered 2 more. The bottles that arrived had a different cap. The old bottle had a transparent cap which I later learned is the moflo cap (I guess the seller sent the wrong bottle). The new bottles have the gray cap pictured here and it’s the watergate cap. So what’s the difference? The moflo cap doesn’t have the “heart valve”. Basically this feature allows the bottle to be open and bouncing around in a bike bottle cage without allowing the liquid to splash out. To get the liquid out, you really have to squeeze the bottle. The lower the liquid level, the harder you need to squeeze. This squeeze shoots the water out. I have to aim the bottle at my cheek so it doesn’t shoot straight down my throat.The moflo cap, on the other hand, doesn’t have the heart valve. If the bottle is open and rattling around, liquid can splash out. It’s not like you’re going to lose all your water, but it does splash out. If you don’t want that to happen, you need to close the bottle when you’re done taking a drink. Since there isn’t a heart valve, you don’t have to squeeze the bottle so hard to get the water out and it doesn’t shoot a jetstream straight down your throat, either.I prefer the moflo cap. Your mileage may vary.The bottles don’t “soak up” tastes or odors from sports drinks (Gatorade) or powder mixes (Tailwind). The insulation works about as good as the insulation on other brand’s bottles (poorly) but it does keep the bottle from “sweating”. The bottles fit perfectly in a bike bottle cage and they don’t bounce out - even the behind-the-seat bottle cages on my tri bike - which seem to eject most bottles.Bottom line: Fantastic bottles. Figure out which cap you like better.

Love these Purist bottles, but more specifically, the watergate cap. These are insulated, and they do keep drinks cooler for a bit, but on a 90 degree day, you'll still have warm water. I don't find the claim that Purist bottles don't hold smells to be true. I keep one bottle for water and one for sports drink and I can always tell which is which. Watch a video on how to clean the cap, and do clean them often, because yuck. The caps are great though, because you can open them at the start of your ride and not worry about splashing or spills while riding.

This water bottle is terrible... the cap is hard to drink from, the bottle falls over all the time, there’s little to no insulation. I put ice water in it and a couple hours later it was room temperature. Super disappointed, waste of money, I threw it away because no one wanted to take it off my hands. This is the quality of a dollar store bottle. Over priced for how crappy it is.

i purchased this along with the camelback podium chill at the same time to see which i would like better. i prefer the camelback product. it's nicer looking, the valve works better, and has a better overall feel. if i were to buy another water bottle i would go with camelback product.nothing specifically worng with the purist, it's just not as polished as the camelback. writing this review after a couple-weeks of use.

Water bottle arrived quickly. Stepdaughter liked the cat design. The bottle is insulated, and the design seems like a piece of fabric placed between layers of plastic...the outside plastic is opaque so the design isnt as clear as its shown in the item picture. Also, the bottle is not flat on the bottom...it stands up with difficulty, constantly wobbles.

Seals well, is not cold to your hand because of the extra thickness. It's the perfect size, likely to last a long time.

Haven't used it yet. I am put off by the wrinkles in the product due to the insulation. I should have bought a stainless thermal bidon instead.Like the spout and the other selling features.

Es mi 4a botella Simply Pure, una de las grandes funciones que tienen éstas botellas son las 3 diferentes tipos de valvulas en las tapas, simplemente presionas y sale el flujo de agua necesario, no necesitas levantar una tapa, un capuchon, nada ! E importante también CERO fugas y goteos. Muchas personas se quejan que la botella no es estable en el fondo y no se para, la mia no viene así aunque debo decir que si así fuera no afectaría su uso o para lo que fue diseñada, es una botella para ciclistas para ponerla en un soporte en la bicicleta.
