J KPro Headset Headworn Single Earhook Microphone MIC-J S90 Compatible with Shure Wireless Transmitter

I'm a pastor who for the past 8 years have been preaching regularly at a church that had a countryman mic. It worked flawlessly every week and I loved the fit and feel.I recently took the lead position at a rural church with a much smaller budget. They had a dual ear cheap mic off Amazon that I could not make large enough to fit my head comfortably. I knew I wanted the single ear setup, but there is no way our budget could cover a Countryman. So after doing some looking on Amazon, I picked up two different generic single ear mics to see if either of them could compare at all to my experience with a countryman at my previous church.The $20 one I tried first had a foam cover for the mic. It was okay, but it clearly did not sound as good as what I had grown accustomed to.So I took that microphone off and put this one on. I was so pleased with the sound quality, I was shocked to realize I found a microphone that sounded every bit as good as the $400 mics that the big churches use for less than 1/10 of the price. Even better, this microphone did not require the foam cover over the end, as I think that makes it stand out too much. This microphone is slim and fits the ear very well. It's easy to bend into shape and hold its position. As I've said, the sound quality is fantastic, and I've had no issues with the connection to my Shure body pack.My only complaint is that the cord is shorter than what I'm used to and so I cannot put the body pack in my pocket but have to wear it on my belt because it can't reach to the bottom of my pant pocket. Granted I'm 6'4".

We needed a replacement for our Shure headworn mic at church, but couldn't justify the cost of the original. This unit works just as well as the original at a fraction of the price. Not sure how long it will last, quality seems OK, but time will tell. Overall, this was a great purchase.

We have used Countryman headsets for 10+ years, but they fail after a couple of years...as one might expect. Their price has continually risen to a point that we question the value. Found this JK Pro headset and decided to try it. It was a bit tinny, but that was easily adjusted. Otherwise we love it and for the price, this is a great value. We'll see how long it lasts...even so, we can buy 5 of these for one Countryman and have change left over.

Wow, that’s about all I can say. Our Countryman E6 developed a noise, so we went to another company to buy a replacement cable. It is still on back order. In the meantime I saw this mic for under $40 US. I thought I would use this until we got the new cable. Tried it out today. Had to do very minor eq from the countryman. We are not sure that we are goingTo go back to the countryman. No idea about durability, but I can buy 10 of these for one of the countryman.

Overall I like the quality of the mic. It fits nice and snug around your ear and stays in place very well. The one flaw of this microphone is once you plug it into your shure device, you can't get it out. It just gets jammed. Maybe I got a faulty one, but I still can get it unstuck. I would give this microphone a 5, but the jamming issue brings the quality down.

Our church has a rotating team of speakers. Initially we purchased a Shure mic, transmitter, receiver kit. People were having problems fitting the mic to themselves. Some want it on the left, some on the right, some put it on upside down every time. It led to a constant reshaping of the mic ear hook. Then I found these, with a price that allowed the purchase of a mic for each speaker. Now we fit the mic to the speaker once, bag and tag it, and it is ready for their next message. The audio quality is close to the Shure, and much better than what we were getting with the constant reshaping of a single shared ear hook.
