Stone Mortar and Pestle, Nicely Finished 5 inch diameter

EXCELLENT PURCHASE! The item is HEAVY, sturdy, wellmade, aesthetic, both useful and a great conversation piece. It was a yad "pricey" but well worth it, I think!

This mortar and pestle is a work of art and a great example of form following function. It works wonderfully and is much better than trying to use one that is too small or easily broken (like the ceramic ones). I took off one star because mine is not level on the bottom. I just set it on a tea towel to use and it works flawlessly. In the seller's defense, I did not try to get a replacement or report this issue. Between forgetting about it and not wanting to have to ship something that heavy back, I chose not to bother, so my issue is not an indictment on their customer service.

Loved everything about it the quality is amazing & it's beautifully made. You can honestly use it as a center piece or decoration if you wanted to. : )

If you like the one shown in the picture you would be disappointed because you would receive completely different mortar&pestle set.

This Mortar and Pestle is both practical and Beautiful, whether you keep it on the counter or table as a centerpiece (yes it looks that good, could be used to hold flower arrangement) large enough to use for sauces as well as grinding and smashing spices, nuts etc. very happy with the size and the way it looks!

If you're serious about grinding stuff, don't try it with a smaller, lighter mortar and pestle. This beauty has the necessary mass to stay put when you're really getting into the task. It is nicely made and very attractive as an item of kitchen decor. Buy it—you won't regret it.

More than I hoped for, use it with every meal. Great product! I would recommend every home kitchen needs at least one.
