Great Natural Disposable Diapers!!
I saw a lot of negative reviews about these diapers, so I decided to add my 2 cents…on the positive side. Let me first say that we have been ECing (Elimination Communication) since our baby was a few days old…we started with these diapers in the newborn size to catch those first gnarly poops so we wouldn't wreck our nice cloth diapers. After realizing how convenient having these disposables was while practicing EC, we decided to alternate between cloth and these disposables. They work great for our purposes, especially since we catch 95% of his pee and poo…but when we miss, these diapers hold up. Of course, we change our little man as soon as he soils it, even if it is just one pee…(whether using cloth or disposable). I have heard that others like to let their little one get more miles out of their diapers by letting them sit in it for extended periods of time, sounds gross…but plenty do it. I would not recommend that. Instead, change the diapers often, which will in turn make them more leak proof…etc. As for blowouts, they are less likely to happen if you EC, since you will notice your baby's signal to go and catch it before a poosplosion…plus, it's easier to clean up. These diapers work well for us because we use them wisely. I think every baby deserves to be EC'd because why should they be forced to go in their diapers until they are then told to go on the potty after being trained to soil themselves…makes no sense. Start potty training early; it not only saves diapers and time, it also helps build baby's awareness of when they have to go and then letting you know so you can help them to the potty. Then, these diapers are a great back-up instead of relying so heavily on the diaper to withstand copious amounts of pee and poo. bottom line, for us these diapers work great AND the best part is that they are Free & Clear!!!

Nothing but good things to say!
We are very happy with the 7th Generation Free and Clear Diapers. They absorb well and wick away moisture, they're plain and unscented, and they fit our baby wonderfully. They give lots of coverage without being too bulky, and the leg openings hold in everything. He's had zero pee leaks and only a few up-the-back poop leaks, and those were the kind NO diaper could contain. He's had just a couple of small rashes, and those were during the newborn phase when he pooped at every feeding. He's been rash-free since, and we don't even use a barrier ointment. Our baby is long and skinny, and he's been moving up a stage when he reaches the overlap in weight guidelines, so for kids like him they're sized accurately.Edit 12/9/11:We experienced a number of blowouts after I wrote the review above, and I thought I might have to retract my praise. First we tried moving up a size a little early, and behold -- problem solved. So we still love 7th Generation.

Buy Pampers Swaddlers. They are MUCH better.
I really wanted these diapers to work for us because I prefer 7th generation's eco friendly focussed products. However two issues with this particular 7th gen product1. It's eco-friendly advantage over Pampers is very questionable. You should know that these diapers are tan dyed to make then LOOK more "natural" :/ Plus all disposable diapers end in the landfill and none are like Styrofoam (which will decompose at the end of the universe). Cloth diapers consume energy (washer, dryer) and detergent. If you use a diaper service, all gas to that. Basically, short of going caveman (cavebaby?) style, most options impact the environment, with little scientific study across all factors.2. They don't do their job. you've parted with your money for a products that is supposed to contain ... well, your baby's diaper mess. Sadly, these leak. A lot. That's a problem we didn't run into ever since we switched to Pampers. Plus the Pampers have a VERY helpful and accurate "wet" indicator that turns blue when the baby wets his/her diaper. So diaper changes are more timely instead of having your baby just sit around in a wet diaper like they usually do with the 7th gen diapers. Even if you check frequently, the visual indicator means you end up "checking" even more often.

I appreciate the concept...
I bought these because they were priced cheapest for the newborn diapers, and I thought, "Why not? Eco-friendly(er) option and they're priced right."Well, we've had more poop-splosions (as I like to call them) than ever before. And the amount of poo in the diaper isn't that much. The explosions have happened sitting up in the stroller, laying down, and being held. One night, my baby's pee even soaked through the diaper... and she had only been in the diaper for maybe 4 hours.I've since stopped using them at night, and during outings, in hopes of limiting the explosions. While I use other Seventh Generation products, I won't be buying these diapers again. Sorry Seventh Generation.

Love to Hate
I have a love-hate relationship with these diapers. I appreciate that they are chlorine free, and environmentaly friendly. I have three children under three, so I have used every size (1-5) of this diaper. They work well for infants before they start to crawl. This may be because they have their diapers changed more often, and the volume of their dirty diapers is much less. Once they start to crawl these diapers leak and fall off often. They are so thin and cheaply made I could not continue to use them. I switched to Nurture by Nature until they raised their prices. Then I switched to Earths Best. I feel they are both ( Nurture by Nature & Earths Best) similar quality and also the same price as Seventh Generation. I could not justify buying Seventh Generation anymore just because they were chlorine free when there are so many other quality options for around the same price.

Not recommended at all
These diapers are such a waste of money. They are so hard and have a rough & paper-ish feel. It leaves marks on babies’ skin. They have such low absorption and leak alot. You have to change all the clothes because they leak and wet all the clothes.Highly disappointed in the product and won’t recommend. I tried returning them but couldn’t because I didn’t get a chance to drop off the package to the post office. Waste of money.

Like the environmentally friendly but won’t buy again
I bought these thinking it was better for the environment and my baby but I won’t buy them again as they leak out the sides easily and don’t have an indicator line to know if your baby has peed or pooped.

It was love at first sight.
Bought and used the newborn size. I love everything about this item. Great price point! Beautiful, soft, stretchy diapers. No leaks, great absorbency. If I wasn't using cloth diapers, this would be the brand for me. Definitely recommend the purchase of this item.

Good diapers at a reasonable price.
Worked well, the sizing was good for our child. They were reasonably priced for more Eco-friendly diapers.
