Organic Lab Certified Bashkirian Buckwheat Raw Honey ( 2 Lbs)

Amazing honey
This Bashkirian Buckwheat Honey is certainly one of the best honey varieties I've tasted. It has a strong, complex and lingering aroma. It is thick and granular - to be eaten with a spoon. If you like this type of honey, this is an amazing product. If you like lighter tasting honey - this is not it.There's some variation of color and taste between different batches. The first time I purchased one of these at my local Russian food store, it had a light brown color. The one I purchased here on Amazon recently was considerably darker. Almost like apple butter type color. All the same, this honey tastes amazing regardless of what color you get. This honey easily tastes better than the following honey I've tried in the past purchased from Amazon:Stakich ANTIOXIDANT RAW HONEY (Buckwheat)Raw Tupelo Honey YS Eco Bee FarmsAnd it is miles ahead of what you can buy at your typical store.

Well handled by shipper
Arrived on time. Well packed. Fine honey.Later: I have ordered tis honey several times in the past years. The quality has ben the same until this latest jar. This one does not have the character and interest of the earlier ones -- this jar is simply an uninteresting sweet honey without the unique character of the earlier ones. Someone slipped up. I hesitate ordering any more.

Excellent Product
OMG it is real Russian honey! Okay, if you don't know what is real honey or don't know buckwheat honey's taste, this might be not your cup of tea, but for those who know what this is, it is a treasure. This honey is praised for its medicinal properties, and I would rather get myself one of those then a dozen jars of some manuka. No offence, I am fond of manuka, but I really compare this on much of a larger scale. Thanks to the seller, because the access to Russian honey here is very limited. I recommend. Spasibo! :)

but it is like eating plain (and much cheaper) sugar
Did not buy this honey on Amazon, bought it at a nearby grocery store instead (many stores here are flooded now with these same yellow sticker jars). Paid $14.99 for this same size 2lbs jar. Honey was liquid even though usually buckwheat honey crystallizes (hardens) within 1-2 months after it was harvested (I mistakenly thought may be sealed jar prevents it from hardening). Several weeks later honey is same as the first day I opened it. Date of harvest printed on a jar was nearly a year ago. It is a real honey, but as I found out after some research, it remains liquid because it was collected from beehive too soon, before it was able to gain all nutrients and before all usual processes in it completed. It appears it is safe to eat, but it is like eating plain (and much cheaper) sugar. No health benefits.

arrived spilled
even though the packaging looked good, it was probably a delivery who tossed the bag and that's why the honey spilled
