We got this crystal growing tree kit for our 13-year-old, and it was such a fun experience! Watching the crystals form was really cool, and he enjoyed every step of the process. It’s a great mix of science and creativity, and it kept him engaged the whole time. He’s already said he’d love to do it again — definitely a win in our book! Perfect gift or activity for curious kids and teens.

My 8 year old really liked this project. Color the trees, pour in the solution. There were already small crystals within an hour, and we woke up to full crystal trees! The crystals feel like foam, and they do crumble when you touch them. Definitely not something that will last, but lots of fun to do.

This is my first crystal growing kit, so I don't have much to compare it to. The instructions seemed to be for a slightly different set, so it was a little hard to know how to apply the growing solution. But it worked mostly as designed. The colors ran and faded more than we thought they would. And the crystals are so soft and delicate they the trees disintegrated over a few days. But it works well as a combined science experiment and art project. My 7-year-old son was excited to create the first tree, but lost interest in doing the other two. Maybe better for a group of three kids to each get one tree, than for one kid to do three themselves.

This was so cool it was very fun as well, over about one and a half days this was ready and it was covered in snow like texture, it was very easy, hope this helps.

I bought this for my niece’s birthday. We just set it up and the crystals are already growing! The only tip I have is make sure you use a lot of color so the crystals are bright instead of just clear.

These were great except the dried piece crumbles very easily so moving from one place to another just with a small breeze the crystals fall off. It was fun to color them and watch the final result. I will buy more but definitely not for smaller children. Easy to assemble.

This was a huge hit with the 12 y/o I bought it for as well as the two siblings. Also, their mother. I would buy this again in a heartbeat as everyone found it entertaining.

You get two trays stands 2 trees, 5 colored washable markers, and 1 bottle of crystal growing liquid. The instructions are straightforward so that an 8 year old and up with supervision can easily create these crystal trees in about 30 minutes and after 6-8 hours the crystal trees will be complete. I love how this comes with a learning guide so you and your child (children) can learn how crystals are formed. I also like how National Geographic even included a Geode specimen inside. Overall a great Stem Kit that's not only educational but fun too!
