I needed a smaller container for my Vitamix for smaller amounts of things like sauces and dressings because my large wide-profile container was too large to blend small amounts. This 32-oz container is the perfect size for blending smaller portions, and it seems to have the same amount of blending power that my larger container has. I know there were less expensive options than this one, but the reviews of other brands sounded a bit iffy, so I opted for the Vitamix brand container and feel it was well worth the additional cost. I also love that I didn't have to buy another appliance to have sitting out in my kitchen. I simply store this smaller container in one of the draws below my Vitamix.

I made a big mistake and bought the personal cup adapter. I should have bought this instead, so I did. It's much smaller than the giant 64 ounce and is perfect for smoothies, even for one person. it cleans just like the big one, and is super simple to use. I still think it is way over-priced, but it works.

I've had a Vitamix for about 7 years now. My original container was just like this one. Until it met with an unfortunate accident, it worked great for 7 years. Before I got my Vitamix, I couldn't find a blender that would last over a year. I love the quality. We use this every day, at least once and usually more. This one was identical to the one I originally purchased with my vitamix. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now. Works great. I have my morning smoothie perfectly blended in mere seconds. I've mades soups, salad dressings and even used it to scramble eggs. It's easy to clean, nothing sticks, I just rinse it out. If it ever does need a good wash, just add a couple drops of detergent, fill it about 1/3 fill and turn the blender all the way high for a few seconds. Then off and rinse the soap out. Now, I just wish Vitamix would make a 16 oz container!

I was a skeptic about the whole Vitamix thing. I mean, $500 for a blender? I decided I wanted to try it, on a healthy eating kick... So I bought one at Costco since they have an amazing return policy in the likely case I’d want to return it and get my half-grand back. Anyway, the blender itself is amazing. It’s so crazy powerful, it chews through anything you put into it. It doesn’t get air locked nearly as much as cheaper blenders (you know, when that annoying air pocket forms around the blade and you have to turn it off and smush everything down?), and it comes with a tamper if that does happen (which it does for thicker smoothies and recipes, just not very often). Anyway, this review is for this mini version of the larger blender jug that come with the Vitamix. I wanted it to be able to make small batches of salad dressings and smaller batches of smoothies. For these it works well - it allows you to blend smaller amounts and it’s just as fast and powerful as the larger one. I would say that it doesn’t churn the food downwards as effectively as the larger jug. Perhaps this is my recipes, but it seems to leave more bits on the sides than the other jug which sucks most everything into its crazy vortex. I should qualify this and say that this is a very minor complaint. Overall the small jug does exactly what I wanted it for. The only other downside to this version is that it doesn’t come with a mini-tamper. For the crazy expensive prices that Vitamix charges for this piece of plastic, the least they could do is include the simple black plastic thingamabob that probably costs them less than a buck to make, package and ship. The last downside to this is the cost. Was I crazy to buy a $500 blender only to buy a $162.85 accessory for it? Absolutely. Nobody should spend this much on something like this. But it is exactly the thing, and the only real alternative (if you want the absolute best) is to buy a Blendtec at about the same cost. I can’t complain about the cost, but I can admit that it’s stupidly high for what it is.
