Giving Chase: Havenwood, Book 1

This is an introduction to a small town called Havenwood. The brothers Griff and Kellan and their friends. Kellan was very young when his parents were murdered on the street in this small town. Griff raised him from that point on. Chase is Griff's best friend. He was there for them both through it all. Because of his circumstances at 18, Chase took off for the military. Gone for 10 years, Kellan was a beautiful surprise for him. This is a story of the ties that bind. Of knowing what's in your heart could cause the ones closest to you to be hurt. This is magnificently written with milestones between friends and brothers. Uncertainty between lovers. In true RILEY HART style we get a ringside seat to how these loving, beautiful men work through the hurdles life has put before them. I loved this book and can't wait to see where life in Havenwood take me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!!

I don’t know why, but I ended up reading this book last. I started with book 2, and continued on, and then came back to this one. I doubt I’d repeat that, but the author wrote them in a way that it wasn’t an issue or anything.I already loved Kellen & Chase from the other books, but I love them even more now. Riley Hart is just so damn good at writing incredible love stories with wonderful characters and rich stories.

Very good, easy read. I enjoyed just getting in and learning about the characters and not having too much of the back and forth of “I love you! I don’t love you! I love you again” that so many books have. Looking forward to the others in the series and getting to know the other love stories. I’m so happy the next one is Lawson!!

It’s fine. I liked the characters and the plot for the most part. I’m realizing the more I read this author I don’t love the writing style. Don’t get me started on “baby boy”. So cringe.

Really good read, really enjoyed the characters! Read when on vacation, and would recommend to others looking for a vacation read!

I really love the brother's best friend trope and this MM romance is just so good. Kellan and Chase have known each other since they were teenagers and Chase is best friend's with Kellan's brother, Griff. Kellan is an art teacher and Chase is a veteran and a police officer who has just returned to town. They both had a fleeting moment ten years prior and then Chase skipped town, leaving Kellan heartbroken. When Chase returns, the sparks fly again and they can't fight it anymore. I really loved their romance and the slow build. I also loved the suspense in this book! It was nice to have a mystery to solve along with the romance. I'm a big fan of all the other characters and really am looking forward to their books as well!

Love this book!!!The beginning of the Havenwood series and I can’t seriously wait for the next book.Kellan and Chase are just everything and even though it took Chase some time to accept he was in love with Kellan, they journey just made everything better.After a messy beginning, a crazy departure and the returning to his old town, Chase knew he wanted to be closed to Griffin and Kellan. He didn’t forget nor forgot what he did in the pass, but they were his family.Kellan didn’t know how to react, having. Chase back was everything to him, having him on his bed with a contract he was not ready to abide was the best for him. He love Chase since he was a kid, he was ready to keep him closed however he could.I can’t wait for the next book!

K was a bitt of a brat. Let’s just put it out there. Justified by being spoiled, but he was a brat. A very lovable brat but still a brat. Ok now that I got that out this was a great story. I’m a sucker for brothers best friend type story and this one totally did it for me. This even had a little tiny tiny bit of suspense added. Which takes nothing away from the story. When you have loved someone from the time you knew what love was. It’s such a beautiful thing. And that’s exactly what these two had.Great story, hawt smexy times, a and most of all AMAZING side characters. I know who the next book will be about, but I’m putting it out there we need a Josh/Griff book. Think about it. Griff needs it to be someone he knows, Josh is loyal, and Griff is very protective. All I’m saying is this should definitely be a thing!
