Trader Joe's Uncrystallized Candied Ginger 8oz, 3 Pack

I’ve eaten it for decades – love it!

I bought some crystallized and uncrystallized ginger fo compare them for cooking and snacking and really liked this one. It is still pretty sweet but not as saturated with sugar as the crystallized one seems to be (I haven't tried that one yet, opened this one first and really liked it). I snack on a piece or two a day. Tasty and refreshing. I also used it in a curry I was making up on the fly - just added little chunks to my mixture and cooked it for a while and it added a nice gingery zing.

It could have less sugar on the candy. I use it for digestion

Love it but pricey

The first few times to have as a snack were good, but the next times were too sweet and strong flavored, threw it out.

Funny I bought them at Trader Joe's and I ate the bag in 2 weeks they are addictive but be careful 3-4 max or can actually give you a tummy ache! The store is 25 miles from my apartment so I was thrilled to se them on Amazon! I just have to stick to my 3-4 limit they help me with acid reflux and gas did I mention they taste great? 😀

Nothing like the original from the store. I put a piece in my tea so the honey and lemon mask the strange aftertaste of the ginger.

I buy Trader Joe’s candied ginger whenever I’m in a city that has a TJ’s. However, I live in a rural area with few opportunities to shop at TJ’s so thought I’d give these a try despite the much higher online price point. Yuck. Each cube is so saturated with sugar it’s as though I’m eating ginger flavored simple syrup. Don’t be fooled. Either this is not the product sold in the TJ stores or TJ has found a new supplier that uses a different production technique. There is a definite, unpalatable difference.
