very good drills. Don't get fooled into thinking this is just for you to teach your kid. If you are a coach (new) this is a great tool to use for practices. I use it for Ks and 1/2 grade. Probably good for 3/4. Steve Nash has a good one as well but for a little older kids.. One complaint, little to fancy with the graphics :)

It's not really working for us. The drills are to boring for my daughter. I get that it may be good practice but if I'm fighting to get her to keep going them that's not good father daughter time. That was the whole point.Also the PDF were somewhat unhelpful, it saisd things like first do drill one then drill two... The problem is I forget what drill one was. How about a discription of drill one on the PDF.

I have to admit, with the "Daddy Daughter/ Father Son" title I was a bit skeptical about this DVD. I was worried it would be too juvenile or babyfied. Within the first few minutes I realized those fears were unfounded. This DVD is perfect for the intended K-6th grade age range and beyond. This is the perfect DVD for youngsters just starting out in basketball or even older players or coaches just getting started. Watching how Coach Chris interacts and runs the drills is equally beneficial for parents and new coaches.This DVD contains a couple hours worth of Basketball training gold, but the first 30-40 minutes of this video are worth the purchase price alone. The first half hour or so includes tips and drills to build a solid core foundation in shooting skills. I wish I had these tips and this level of instruction when I was participating in youth basketball. Nearly 10 shooting drills progress your child through the basic shooting grip and stance and beyond to help them hone perfect shooting form. It also provides drills to make kids a threat in the paint with plenty of skill building drills to help with shooting layups with both hands. Of course there's more to Basketball than shooting, and this DVD covers that as well. The DVD moves on to discuss dribbling, passing, the full court game and more.There are plenty of drills that need to be done over and over again, but it's not all boring repetitive drills either. Thanks to this DVD, you and your kids learn plenty of fun games and activities that teach and reinforce solid fundamental basketball skills. Just watch how much fun Coach Chris and his kids have doing "No Panic Layups" and other fun games and you'll see the youngsters having fun while improving their game. The DVD concludes with a great explanation on how the skills learned on the DVD will help younger players learn to stop "melting" under defensive pressure. Instead of panicking, your children will learn to look forward to defensive pressure as an opportunity to display their offensive skills and an opportunity to score.This DVD also includes some workout charts that are accessible in PDF format on your computer. A very cool bonus. In my opinion this DVD is worth every penny of the purchase price and is a great tool for both casual and serious basketball families. It's a perfect tool for a new coach to implement as well. I've seen kids at the junior high and even high school level that don't have the solid fundamental core skills taught and displayed on this DVD!I received a free copy of this DVD for the purposes of critical commentary and review and in exchange for my honest opinion and unbiased review.
